Posted: 12/28/2006 10:31:58 AM | I'm 5'9" tall and only date men who are taller than me. I just feel funny with a shorter guy. I am sure alot of women feel that way. I have a 36 inseam and have a hard time finding pants that are long enough. When are they going to make clothes long enough for us tall girls?

The only thing that bothered me was the stand-up kissing, or lack thereof.
I'm 5'-10" + maybe 2" of cowboy boot. My old girlfriend was 6' and she liked wearing really high heels. So if I'm 6" under optimal conditions and she's 6'-4" when dressed up, that means I'm up on tip-toes, head tilted back when we tongue wrestled. That's just wrong on sooo many levels.
The kissing was extremely awkward, just all backwards. I had to dip her whenever I wanted to really kiss her properly, and that can get a little hazardous if I was buzzin' hard or if the floor was slippery, LOL!
She also took up too much couch space when she stretched out those mile long legs, hehe. | |

Posted: 12/31/2006 8:04:02 PM | Nothing wrong with tall women. Most of the time when you're talking to them, there's a little bit of distance so you're not craning your neck up to look them in the eyes. Slow dancing gets a tad awkward, but it's nothing major.
Often tall women act relieved more than anything when I tell them that I don't care how tall they are. I guess they had some bad experiences in the past or something. | |

There is no simple answer.
Some guys don't like it when a woman is taller than them. I'm not like that, so I won't attempt to express the opinions of this type of guy.
Personally I don't like it when a woman approaches my weight. Lots of women want to feel sexy and protected so they want tall guys. Me, I don't want to be crushed by my woman when she's on top of me during sex. That's why I don't want a woman that's too heavy.
Lots of "tall" women are also heavy women. I wouldn't date them because they are "tall", it's because they are heavy.
This "near my weight" rule is just a PREFERENCE. It's not a prerequisite, just something that is in the back of my mind when I'm thinking "hmm do I want to date this woman?".
I find a smart, fit, funny TALLer woman very sexy. Yum yum.  | |

Posted: 1/10/2007 12:32:54 PM | As a short woman, when I go out with my tall girlfriends, I get completely overlooked. My taller friends get all the attention. When I get away from them, then I might get approached. Maybe. If the tall ones are all sitting or in the bathroom. :)
I just keep telling myself it all relative, that there are plenty of guys out there for all of us, tall or short. But the truth is, relax and rejoice, tall women. For the most part you have us short ones beat to a pulp. /salute :) | |

I have a preference for tall women. I don't care if they're taller than I.
But notice the restrictions some of the women's profiles put on height...and responses in some of the threads about height.

It's never exact... little things like even having to look up into someone's Eyes.. instead of straight into them... everyone has little idiosyncrasies about them the fact that people admit it openly rather than dragging it out would be a good thing would it not...

i always wanted a taller female then me (mainly because of how the men in my family treated their woman, the females were shorter and was always ran over and disrespected and looked down on. so i figured at a young age i wanted a woman taller then me so i would never look down on her... So maybe a lot of guys see my view from the opposite)
