Men don't like TALL women
They don't ?? ... well, I'm not going to read through 22 pages of posts, but I'm six feet tall and I prefer women as close to my height as I can find. Not to sound too overly-shallow, but let's face it, in full frontal body hugs, the ... (ahem!) ... favourite body parts just seem to line up a little better.

Posted: 1/23/2007 4:33:38 PM | Well I've been 6'2 since i was 14, and i must admit that i got many of THOSE looks through the years. But i always felt that this odd attraction is caused by fascination, there are much more short women than tall ones out there. It's like finding a rare gem in a pile of stones. But you can use those stones to build a home, as for the gem... well, it will always be there just for it's beautiful nature - a jewel, decoration of sorts. But eventually, the fascination dulls out and you find yourself alone again. And that's just plain sad.
I believe that height should come as a plus, or a minus. But the basis for any relationship lies within the person himself. I can't say i felt most comfortable dating guys who were much shorter than me, but like someone here said on the first few pages - everyone is the same height when cuddling on th sofa. | |

Sociological hangups combined with media sterotypings, constitute the majority of insecurities incurred with relationships and dating.
You like what you see...tell them..but not too explicitly to avoid legal ramafications.

The reason that guys li smaller is so they can feel protective and the converswe with women, its going back to our primeval days im afraid.

and when I am in it, there is no one to talk to.
op, the same thing is true the other way around. I always wanted a tall woman but they kept saying no until I met a shorty.
a shorty, you can lift her, go upstairs and drop her gently in bed.........a tall one, you lift and you come down crashing.......... | |

I would chat and be nice to alady if she was taller than me but they always look down their nose figureitlevly as well as physically at you so what IS the point!!!

I have found that taller woman 5/8 and above to be more down to earth as far as communication maybe its cause they understand some feel diff or like you said intimidateing, ill take tall anytime:)

I can see if a woman starts talking to a man and she just doesnt feel comfortable tring to get out of it... But if a man is a real live true nice guy and she finds him attractive then I just dont see a woman running away from a man just because he is shorter than her...
A guy that I dated for many months ( see the Best Pick Up Lines Ever Used On you Forum) that was shorter than me. He was 5'9" and I am 6'1" and we were VERY happy together. Things just weren't ment to be with us...

I am comfortable in my skin (finally...and it took a lot of growing up and maturing), so I am open to dating whomever catches my attention. I want people to see me with my partner and say "damn, they look happy and really like each other." If they are noticing our height difference we need to laugh more.

It is just preference.
I may see a hottie that is 5'5" but will by pass her for a saucy wench thatis 5'9" or taller.
I have always dug tall women. Who knows, maybe it is a bigger butt, bigger breasts bigger hands, bigger feet...who the hell knows.
Anyways, one should not get obsessed over anything, lest you will become like that Lord of the Rings character called Gollum: Precious, precious, precious.... creepy.. (shudder) | |

While you decry the fact that the tall men you are interested in, aren't interested in you, you refuse to even consider a guy who might be shorter. I don't even look at that part of the profile unless I'm first interested in who she is and what she says.
Some of the women on these dating sites have such silly measurements of what a good should be. I've seen profiles where the women say that they will only date a guy over six feet tall. Because she likes to wear heels. I go back , to check her height, and find she is only 5-2 or 5_3 ... What are they going to do... wear 7 or 8 inch heels?
One time, after writing a second email to someone, I mentioned that I was a widower... she wrote back that she doesn't date men who's wives have died... because it spooks her out. How mature do you think she was.
To me, that ranks right up there with "does/should size matter?" | |
