Only by men that have a problem with it, I love all shapes and sizes as long as they are happy with themselves.

I know of taller women like yourself who purposefully wear heals that make them 6 foot or more, and have heard them state they get their shits and giggles when intimidating and then pissing off guys.
I love a tall woman in heels but I've never considered this a motivation for them to wear heels...but then again, I have learned lots of usless yet entertaining info on this site...
I also do not believe your statement, bikedude about avoiding controversial threads...I have never seen you in any thing other than a controversial thread. --

I can understand your sensitivity, Janet...just avoid shorter guys... embrase your tallness...and if it is any consolation...as much as I love very tall women, you are at the lower range 5' 8" is not "crazy tall.."--besides...looks/ height are only a component...that you are smart...and a kind loving person is why I have so much more of the admiration and respect for you and that's a fact jack...
Why do we post in certian threads...I like this topic...and you are here!

The main reason is because our body parts fit together better. It is harder, for a tall guy, to make love to a short girl, from behind (Doggie) because the her calf and thigh lenths are much shorter, unless you elevate her.You may be experiencing several things. The tall to short ratio isn't so even through out the country. You may be in an area that tall guys are used to short women because most of them are short in your area and they aren't used to tall women. That can be intimidating if your not used to it. On the other hand, the most likely thing is that maybe the tall guys you have experienced are the Tall Guys With A Little Penis. They prefer a tiny woman because they feel like they can please her better with a smaller penis. A sure sign of that is if the guy loves to hunt or shoot something and or if they drive a great big ole' truck or muscle car and have a couple scary dogs. Do yourself a favor and don't be so worried about it. check to see what he drives first, then you know if he might be intimidated by you being tall. By the way , I hate hunting or shooting guns and I DO drive a small compact car, I don't have any scary dogs or snakes and I Do prefer a Tall Woman, We Just Fit Together Better! This is not true BM (intentionally initialed). And, though you often contridict yourself and I just smile, this time I think not.
Women wear clothes, shoes, whatever for ourselves, not for men or against men. Wearing high heels makes us feel feminine, walk feminine and shows the world we like to be women. Not everybody does, no. Tree hugging, granola eating democrats concerned of global warming will wear those sporty burkenstocks. But I feel "frumpy" slapping around in flats. I don't like how it feels, how it looks and until I can no longer poise in heels, I'll continue pushing the 6foot mark.
And that brings me to your contridiction...
If men have no problem with tall women, how could I possibly initimidate or bother someone that apparently adores such amazon-ness? This is most definately the kind of statement the napolean-type squak of their own feelings of insecurities. I do not believe any woman has ever told you of this playful agenda of theirs... so BM, this is YOUR theory. Own it.
And as I said before. 5'10 is not that short. It is maybe average. And wearing those tite little bike shorts with a nicely exercised tailgate will far outweigh this oh so very slight lack of the ideal dance partner height of atleast 6'2.

One of the points they brought up is that as a woman raises her status, her selection declines because women generally do not date down. The women would then reason this as the man's fault for one reason or another. Most of the men interviewed in the book said that social status didn't really matter to them in selecting a mate.
I would be willing to bet that the same principle applies for height. | |

And, furthermore, I strongly disagree with the original poster. In my experience, short men like tall women and tall men like tall women. It's like they can't even SEE me down where I am! Look down and around, guys. There are some wonderful vertically challenged women out here waiting for you.

I personally like short women because I'm more into cute rather than the tall model look. I know a lot of people who absolutely LOVE tall women. I definately wouldn't rule out a tall women though.
They are out there! That's all I can say.

Posted: 3/7/2007 9:16:30 PM | I am 6 feet tall barefoot, but most of my shoes put me at least 6'1". For some reason, if I'm approached by a guy, 9 times out of 10 he's either 5'5" tall, liquored up, 20 years old, or has lost a bet!! My theory is that my amazon height IS truly intimidating to alot of men, and the only ones "brave" enough are the criminally insane, highly intoxicated, too-young-to-know-better-fresh-out-of-puberty, or my favorite...."THE SHORT MAN COMPLEX" guy who thinks I'm a challenge..(kinda like climbing Mt. Everest...).
Growing up I was always picked on, teased, and NEVER had a boyfriend until after high school. No proms, no homecomings, nuthin'!! That resulted in a "LINEBACKER COMPLEX" which made me feel like a goofy, overgrown oaf......
But that's all behind me now, thank GOODNESS!! Now I LOVE being tall, and I LOVE wearing high heels!! I walk proud, I stand out, and I feel sexy!!
But this isn't the Land of Oz....I'm not Dorothy....and Munchkins ain't my thing! | |
