Posted: 4/28/2007 10:45:59 PM | I'm 6'-0" (ok, acutally add just a couple of mm to that, but since I don't like metric....).
I used to date shorter gals, but then I met this one at 5'-10" and my whole life changed! Found out that clothes-swapping was so much easier, as were other things too! LOL! 
Not that I wouldn't date shorter again, but did like that! | |

I've found myself unintentionally avoiding such women and didn't realize it til I read this thread. I'm not a short guy, but there's a lot of people taller than me out there and for some reason most guys think that girls like taller guys. I'm definitely attracted to a lot of females taller than me, but I guess I brush away my chances based on a possibly untrue myth. | |

I think for myself being with a woman taller than myself and being out in public brings my confidence level even higher than what it is normally. I think in my mind I feel like maybe an actor with a hot model that would be my analogy, oh by the way I think sex is more interesting if she is taller than me anyway.

I see the person who started it is no longer listed as an active member.
Have not read any of the responses yet.
Wish she was still listed, so I could find out how tall she is.
Not being able to do that, I can say that at my 5' 11'', the idea of a woman that can look me eye to eye doesnt bother me in the least.
I'm drawn toward proportionally shaped women.
Height doesnt otherwise matter to me.
Cant speak concerning other mens views on the subject, have met very few women that are my height.
Guess its time to read some other responses. | |

If you are truly in love with a person it wouldn't matter if they had two heads and four arms, you just wouldn't really notice it after awhile. ( Hmmm...... that could be interesting...lol!) Would you think your child ugly if he/she were born with a birth defect? Would you leave your wife/ girlfriend if she lost all her hair because of chemotherapy? What about a horrible disfiguring car accident, a fire? You get the idea. If any relationship is based on superficiality then it's doomed before it begins. Yes, I know that there has to be chemistry, but how many of you have seen couples that appeared to be deeply in love where one was very unattractive (in your eyes and presumably not filthy rich) and the other was a stone cold knock out?! We see it all the time and just scratch our heads in wonder. They are seeing and feeling something that we are not and good for them. | |

Posted: 4/29/2007 9:23:28 AM | I've never actually met an available, unattached tall woman. By "tall", I mean taller than 5ft9. I'm 6ft6, and I think it would intrigue me to be with a woman around, say 5ft10 to about 6ft2. But I suppose that will always be an unfulfillable fantasy.
Every woman I've been with has been in the range of 4ft10 to about 5ft7, not that I have anything to complain about regarding them.

Posted: 4/29/2007 10:04:41 AM | I'm 5'10" and I have talked with some men that had a preference for shorter women, usually because taller women attact a lot of attention when they go out and they are not comforable with that.
Just like with age, usually men look for women that are their age or younger instead of older.
If you feel that you're being overlooked, just post one of your pics in a skirt with a pretty smile on your face. Your height is an asset, just show those beautiful long legs as a happy lady and you'll find the man to appreciate God's gift to you.

I myself have been approached my shorter men. I do think that is true, but unfair because the tall girls would like a tall man too not just the short woman.
I was married to a guy that was about 4 inches difference in heigh to mine. Just not fair. but don't know what the outcome is. | |

However there was never more embarassing time that when I was dancing at a night club with a height-challenged girl who was covered by my body and it looked like I was dancing by myself on a crowded dance floor. I am glad she decided to swap spots with me during the mix of music.
I am 6' 1" and found the whole evening dancing with a girl 5' 11" in 4 inch heels to be something very sexy and enjoyable - especially slow dancing together. I thanked myself for wearing a pair of boots because it was nice to look eye to eye and not eye to check out her dandruff.
Consider this, a friend of mine at the time was 6' 10" and was dancing with a 5' tall woman in 4 inch heels - so who really cares ?
It is the person inside and not the height but alot of men do not like women to be closer to their heights as it is a feeling of power loss - those men are probably the kind that give their wives black eyes for not doing the cooking on time.

You can't help but wonder if a 4 foot 11 chick came by would he run off with her. . For me My King of Men has to be TALL... I feel more comfortable making eye contact during conversation and things in general are just easier to deal with.
Having said that ... I also don't use height as a criteria when searching profiles. If I like the person, how tall they are really is not important enough to worry about. | |
