| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 10:40:14 AM | | That's alright. We, in the front row gladly suffered perpetual crick-in-the-neck, always turning around to see you. | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 10:43:34 AM | | Of course, then the girls in the front row would hit me for not paying enough attention to them. Ah, school "daze". | |

| (Hey I do ! ) Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 8:42:48 PM | Hey, I do :) It all depends on all the chemistry. If she is tall, that is a wonderful bonus. I just emailed the English lady in Coventry who is 5'10". I am 6'4" (U.S.) and the thought of marriage to a very tall English woman who wants her guy to devote all his time to HER is heartwarming to me. I hope so much she replies. Ted :) | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 8:48:19 PM | | The whole intimidated bit ain't true its more of a awkwardness when you dance together... Plus alot of gals like to rest their heads on their mans shoulders being taller than a guy makes that difficult. | |
|
| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 9:38:30 PM | | Thats not true! Im almost 6' tall, and I would love it if all my women were at least my height! Better to dance with and definately easier to kiss. Not saying it is better to be able to kiss her lips, instead of the top of her head while making love! | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/5/2008 10:52:10 PM | I for one am very attracted to tall girls. I'm 6'1" so I don't find many taller than me, witch is good because that is a little intimidating. Especially when the put on heals (yikes). The last girl I dated was 6' and it was one of the things that attracted me to her in the first place. It didn't work out, but we're still good friends and even work together now. We constantly joke about our height, being the tallest people in the shop (no one else is over 5'8") Bottom line: Tall girls are awesome! | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/6/2008 8:46:49 AM | | 6'4" here and absolutely love tall girls. i prefere them over most of the really short ones because its not as awkward | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/6/2008 9:09:30 AM | I went through a "tall women" phase, and they are actually quite fun to have sex with. They are not my usual type, but if you get a 6 footer with a pretty face, it's a good deal. She can prove to be pleasantly limber and vigorous. | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/6/2008 9:35:03 AM | this is an old thread, so maybe i've responded before. too long to find it. all i can say is that my chances opened up when dustin hoffman started dating "tall" when i was way younger. before that, the man "had" to be taller. so at least, i got more attention and more dates! i think a lot of this was introduced in elementary school way back when they paired you up by height and if too many girls, they made the taller one "the man". thank G-d in ballet class, they let the tall ones go first to counter the initial emotional damage! never saw them make short boys into girls, by the way.
as to tall men not liking tall women, my ex was 6'8", and the man before him was a bit shorter than me and prior to him, the manfriend was way shorter. my current love is 6'2". so, i think your assumption is incorrect, just because some tall men are with shorter women--often it has nothing to do with height. and if height is a preference, there are other aspects to attraction, not only physical but also mental and also pheremonal combinations. i doubt that many would turn down angelina because she is not a blonde! or too tall....although not sure how tall she really is, just as an example...
so, i'd suggest "act as if". your worrying about it, might in itself become an unconcious barrier. after all, some men prefer a certain hair color, but if all else is right, they adapt very quickly.

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/6/2008 10:18:34 AM | I’m amazed at the lack confidence, reasoning, and adventure in almost all of these opinions about height! With out getting to deep about all the underlining issues that men and women seem to have… Working as a fashion model photographer for several years…I’m 5.8ft.with shoes on, however I dated women mostly 5.9ft.to 6ft.tall models… I or they asked for dates and we had no problem with height, that issues never came up, “why would it”… They all were amazing fun loving young women, full of life, adventure, and with hopes and dreams!!!
My point men/women are much more then their height, lets find out who people really are rather then judge them for something irrelevant that does not define a man or a woman!!! Example: ...Tom Cruse is 5.7 Katie Holmes 5.10... So just enjoy and have fun with whomever, and do not let someones height get in the way of an amazing relationship at whatever level you choose to have…

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/8/2008 8:00:58 PM | | what are you talking about men, love tall women, I am 6'4 so if she is 5'11 or 6ft hell its all good by me. tall women are more attractive than shorter women | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/8/2008 8:17:06 PM | | I find it strange that you question why guys do the same thing that you do. Personally I don't have an issue with dating a tall woman. But like you, it seems that a lot of women are looking for tall men. Like Dorathy, I think the first place to look for answers is right in your own back yard. | |

I agree, tall men, especially, do not like tall girls. I doubt that, even discounting that I am tall guy who prefers tall girls. What is more likely is that most tall men do not preferentially seek out tall girls. That end up with short girls (actually average) because there so many more of them available.

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/12/2008 4:16:12 PM | Men don't like tall women? Which planet are you talking about?
For me, a woman has to be at least tall enough so I can comfortably reach her breasts with my mouth and tongue while I am penetrating her in the missionary position. Thats around 5'9" and up for me.
A guy has gotta have his standards.

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/12/2008 8:11:00 PM | | I suppose it depends on your definition of tall. At 6'8", I love tall women. Tall to me is at least 5'10" or more, preferably without heels. They are just very hard to find! | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/12/2008 11:24:40 PM | I love tall women.I don't have a height preference, but if shes tall, she will be able to wear anything she wants, and that will make her happy and give her confidence. Most women want a guy thats taller than them when they wear high heels, which is understandable. The part that makes it difficult is,if shes 5'11, barefoot, she'll need to find a guy thats 6'6.Not too many ex basketball stars on POF these days | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/13/2008 3:13:41 AM | Well i have decided to get rid of my flat shoes and go with heels as much as possible. I do not care if they now make me over 6ft, actually i just picked up a pair of boots that put me at 6'2" and i will wear them very proudly. So i will see. | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/23/2008 7:41:52 PM | i like tall women, whats wrong with that,i like them in any height iam 6-1 and shoes on 6-2 lol so i dont get where coming from. | |
|
| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/23/2008 9:44:12 PM | I'm 5'7" have no probs with guys and my height.. Maybe I am not tall enough to feelt the pain... | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/23/2008 11:40:27 PM | I'm not really a fan of tall women.
I once met a woman off of POF that said she was 6 foot. I go to meet her, this chick was bigger than me and I'm 6'3 and a half. She must have been 6'5.
Ideally, I like women that are 5'7 or less. 5'0-5'2 and I'm in heaven lol

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 3/24/2008 9:18:00 AM | It's just preferences really. Just like how some women don't date short guys, it's the same way.
I wouldn't like to have to cramp my neck to have to look up at my significant other, especially if she is like 6'2 or 6'3.
Not saying I think they're bad or anything, just not for me.
