Posted: 7/13/2008 7:02:09 AM | I just like to look into their eyes...I've been told by some that I am intimidating, but I am only confident and no BS (not into any drama - giving or receiving). There are times that when life throws some tough curve balls my way, I just want to feel that when that special someone can give me a great big hug, that it's not around my waist. It's a thing that maybe I need to get over...but for me...there's nothing better than having someone big & strong telling me it'll be okay. Not looking for anyone to save me, don't get me wrong...I just like to gaze face to face no matter ift we're standing, sitting or cuddling.
Although I am tall and strong, there are times when I want to let go of that & feel enveloped in someone's arms. | |

Posted: 7/13/2008 12:03:22 PM | I am 5ft 9" and i get both tall and short guys writing to me. I have tried dating a guy that was same height barefoot and it isn't being shallow I was just uncomfortable. It just doesn't feel comfortable.
I personally like to look up to my man and I like to wear heels when I go out.
For me I am definately attracted to tall males. Make me feel more like a lady!

The problem lies in the tall woman who wants to put their head on the man's shoulder - if he's shorter, she can't without breaking her back stooping down. Not a comfortable position at all. Plus if you wear heels, it makes you tower over a shorter guy even worse. I'm a dancer and to try to dance with someone shorter is very difficult. In competition, it makes it even harder. I would love to find a tall man who can dance. | |

Speaking only for myself, I can tell you that the tall women I have admired have run the gamut from thin-modellish to BBW. I am a face-first guy - a beautiful face is a beautiful face no matter if it belongs to Angelina Jolie or a BBW. And a lot of BBW's have a wonderful figure despite their weight - the curves are in all the right spots. Add tall to that mix and yeah, that's hot.
But I'm not "into" tall women any more than I am "into" short women or petite or plump or BBW or Latina or Asian or anything else...I guess you could say I have a woman fetish. :D | |

My daughter said to me the other day, 'I hope I am not as tall as you mum because you have less chance of finding a boyfriend'. Most tall interesting men are going out with ladies who seem to be just over 5 ft. I said to my daughter, 'This is the reason why I don't focus too much towards men. If a man is tall and I like him that is a wow! If men are too short I tend to feel abnormal and hunch to correct my hight to his, so as to be at least eye level, but really I want to stand tall and be proud of who I am, such a shame really.
I don't know why most tall men seem to be with really short ladies, it has always puzzed me, maybe long legs are not what they like!!!  | |

Perhaps you might want to re-read what you wrote up above with a just a little bit of self examination. I'm not sure what is sadder; that you think so little of yourself - or, that you are well on your way to ruining your daughter by perpetuating the cycles of self-hatred, and prejudice.
Your scathing indictment of the human condition as an unintended aphorism, is both succinct and alarming. It should be viewed as a clarion call to action if we are to have any hope of improving our social ills. | |
