Posted: 12/18/2008 4:37:02 PM | | i'm 20 years old and im 5ft 7in and i'm very hot and the man i'm dating is 5ft 6in. i don't wear high heels because thats not my style. he loves my long legs and i dont mind his height at all. and in my opinion taller women usually have nicer bodies, when your short you are stubbing and short legs look funny i think. tall is the best. | |

Posted: 12/19/2008 8:25:32 AM | I enjoy being tall. It's an advantage in business and certainly comes in handy when reaching the top shelf. When I enter a room I know that I'm noticed.
The only time I felt it was a drawback was in the dating world. It has always been my belief that guys didn't like women taller than them. The comments ont his thread have encouraged me to take a chance on meeting shorter guys.

You ARE a beautiful young lady. All of us have imperfections. Take MisterBigg for instance. He seems to be an insensitive jerk, but that's just my opinion!!!
There's nice guys out there. You just have to keep searching. This dating stuff is hard at 19 and 40. I guess it stays hard until you find the one, but you dress nice nice, have a great smile, and fantastic curves. Keep looking, stay positive, and the one for you will come someday.

MrBigg could have used more tact. But I think a woman that is significantly overweight is generally a bigger turn off for men than a tall woman. | |

Posted: 12/23/2008 8:21:32 AM | I don't think that it is intimidating, I think that men like it cause it feels as if we are the guardian, and short women enjoy it cause we serve as that protection. However, for me its quite different...most of the women that i dated were taller than me. I like cause there is less bullsht to worry about. They are confident/secure, which is great, cause i am secure and don't think that i can put up with an insecure women.
I am not saying that insecure women are the short ones....but the ones that i dated where.

Posted: 12/24/2008 2:36:03 PM | I'm very fond of tall women. The majority of women that I've dated have been 5'9" to 5'11", with a couple of notable exceptions (6'4"/6'2"). I can appreciate women of all heights, and would have zero problem dating a girl taller than myself, but at 6'5", it's going to be pretty tough. I guess that's why girls can wear heels.
I think the reason so many shorter men approach taller girls is because they're already used to being written off by women of every height. Since there is little more to risk by asking, they go for it, where as tall men may not have the same outlook.
