| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/27/2008 10:12:42 AM | being 6 foot 2 more ive never met a woman taller than me, i once dated someone who was around 6foot she didnt like wearing heels as she towered over her friends but her height was never an issue with me..
what actually is the average height for men and for women?

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/27/2008 4:17:56 PM | I could care less if women are short or tall. It doesn't even rate into my qualifications.
In fact, if a woman says that she likes me and includes my height as one of HER qualifications? I think less of her!
Height is REALLY a stupid quality to value in someone!

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/27/2008 10:39:36 PM | I like women who are taller than me and who are shorter than me. It does not matter. What is important is what her personality is like. Actually I have always liked a taller women. Do not know why, just has been that way.
When we decide to not look at someone based on height, then we eliminate a potential person whom we could match with. Because we had a bad past experience, we should not automaticaly feel that the all of the same type of people will be the same way.
I once heard, I believe it was in a TV comercial: "You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince/princess." It was something to that affect.

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/28/2008 12:15:49 AM | I love tall women, but if they're taller than me, by even one millimeter, this is an absolute no-no. It's a complete deal breaker. I drive myself and my prospective partner off to be scientifically measured to the exact hair. If she happens to be one hair taller than me, we call off the relationship. I can't have women challenging my stature.
As you see, I take height very, very, very seriously.

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/28/2008 1:53:06 AM | Ha!Ha! Irespire....a sense of humour overcomes all! Seriously, living here in Ireland, especially in West Cork where there seem to be a lot of lovely 'shorter than me' or as some put it 'wee' men, I am realising that a good laugh is more important than being able to look into someone's eyes when standing up.
I haven't read through all the posts, but it was a comfort to me to see there are lots of other tall women and that they wear high heels. So, I am digging the heels out of the back of the wardrobe and going to wear my height with pride. Thanks to all you tall women and the men who love us. Just have to overcome the age barrier now........but that is another post. javascript:smilie(' ')javascript:smilie(' ')

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/28/2008 10:15:58 PM | | The average height for American men is about 5' 9" to 5' 10", and for American women just over 5' 4", depending on age and ethnicity. (Mexican-Americans are much shorter, on average.) | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 1:45:25 PM | Ok woman, I've had your back before on the smokin threads. But not this time!
Preferences based upon someone's external appearance, makes you shallow! Isn't that obvious? And height is an external appearance.
Now then, I think that we ALL are shallow to some extent.
Why?
Because someone has to be attractive looking to us.

Naw, height requirements make one shallow and superficial.
superficious??? | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 2:06:49 PM | | Well, I'm 6'2" and really like taller women. I must be a minority. I could never figure out the proper way to slow dance with a 5'2" lady....do you grab a hold of her and lift her a foot off the ground? (at least we wouldn't step on each others toes), bend over so I look like I have a bent spinal cord, or just let her smother in my stomach? | |

The last guy I dated was 6'5 and I promise there was no spinal cord injury .. haha

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 3:11:41 PM | Eh, they say that every man needs to git hisself a short lil fat gal with a big ol butt and big hooties!
I dunno, but that's what they keep sayin on the CB!
Usually, I tend to ignore truckstop logic because it really ain't all that logical.
I s'pose I could settle for a tall and skinny woman if I had to.
|
| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 5:53:36 PM | | Sounds good to me, except some of us are short and plump with big hooties without a big ol butt!!!! | |
|
| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 8:54:05 PM | | So Tra C...What you have mentioned and the way in which you talk about height, it is obviously a requirement and not preference. So what do you believe is shallow and superficial? | |
|
| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/29/2008 9:15:34 PM | i dated a girl who was half head taller than me! i always liked her but her height was the factor that made me kind of stayed away...but when she asked me out it made me fell so good that we ended up dating...all my friends was so happy and jealous because they all thought i had the balls to go ask her out...i think it's important that you feel comfortable with who you're and with those awkard moments, she never wore heels when we went out and when we kissed she was the one that leaned in...i guess the height thing makes the guy feel less masculine...after all, the male is the one that supposed to protect his girl...put it this way, everytime you see a girl you like with another guy, the male competitivenss kicks in and in the back of you mind isn't there always that question why is she with this clown? am i not better than that guy? if you can put away the superficial stuff it can go a long way... | |

| Men don't like TALL women Posted: 12/30/2008 1:15:44 AM | | Ha, every girl who's ever shown interest in me, including the only girl I was ever in a relationship with, have all been significantly shorter than me. I would be very open to dating a girl taller than me, but at the same time, I just can't imagine it ever happening. Oh well. Judging by the attitude of a lot of tall women on this thread, I'm probably better off. Disqualifying someone because they're too short/ too tall is just a mean, mean thing to do. | |
