However there are lots of weird and wonderful tastes out there so even the tuckshop lady arms have admirers, lol and lets not forget the smelly used pantyhose sniffers. Posted: 4/16/2009 5:08:48 PM | I have found that I'm usually contacted by men who are either the same height as I am (5'10") or men who are shorter than I am. I do prefer dating men who are taller than I am, mainly because I enjoy dressing up occasionally and wearing heels.
As to the comment about 6' tall women not being as shapely as a 5' something woman; hogwash! | |

I generally look for women within my height range, 5'4" to 5'10" with my height at 5'8''.
But then I come from a family where all of the men are no taller than I am now and all of the women are between 4'10" and 5'4". But I DO notice that tall women tend to state their preferred heights of dating prospects in their profiles--equal heights or taller than themselves.
But I have to share this experience that's happened to me recently worth mentioning here. I frequent a few night clubs near where I live and started to notice this tall, attractive woman (6'2") showing up with her shorter girlfriend (maybe 5'6"). I like to watch live music and dance and noticed the two of them dancing together.
As the night wore on, I noticed nobody was asking the taller women to dance--just the shorter friend. I said to myself, "to hell with it" and went up and asked her to dance.
Her face lit up and we danced about 4 more times that night. She even asked if her girlfriend could join us a few times. Hell, do you think I care? Uh, no!
Nothing more has ever come out of that experience. Well, except I see them there on occasion (not every week) and I remember their names. And the tall girl feels comfortable enough to come up and ask ME to dance (it's happened 3x since). I've never had more fun with a tall girl. :) OK, I confess...I'm converted now.  | |

My great-grandma was like 4'8" and my great-grandpa was 6'2". We still have her little deluxe rocking chair she used to use. This love match is why I got to 5'7" but wish I were taller.
I have yet to meet a man though who is gaga over my height but nobody seems to mind it, very ordinary height. | |

I am a bit of an oddball here, but I am most attracted to girls 4'11" to 5'5" and 5'8" to 6'
I like girls who are noticably taller than me, or noticably shorter than me.
I tend to go for the shorter girls because I like slender framed women, and most taller women have average frames.
The reasons for this are simple. Preference first of all. Second, I am a CUDDLE WHORE. I must have someone who fits me well for cuddling, and in my experience the standards I just wrote down does the trick.
Your mileage may vary, but I am more than self confident enough to date a woman taller than me. Not only that, if you're in a relationship for long enough with someone, you really stop noticing their height. My x wife was 5' tall and after I'd been with her for about 2 years, I stopped noticing how short she was and had to be reminded sometimes to get her a steppy stool so she could reach things. | |

One of the best relationships I ever had was with a girl that was 6'1. We had a blast. Unfortunately, life didn't have us in the cards, but hell, I would worn the heels at our wedding and been perfectly happy to do so! | |

I of course speaking from my own experiences. I think part of it is that most of us tall women either have tons of confidence because we took a beating for being taller than everyone else growing up or because we are constantly reminded that we are tall, and called models etc. and that confidence can sometimes come across as being mean or stand offish and men dont find it attractive....i did have one tall man tell me that he was used to being the center of attention and he didnt want a tall woman because she would steal his "shine"
