If you are gonna stand like the hunchback...then maybe they won't approach you. But If you stand tall and confident and give a friendly smile...then really you shouldn't have any problem at all!
I think shorter men are hot like fire!! MMM. Most shorter men have killer shoulders that make me drool all over myself. I dunno from experience, I am not really all that attracted to a taller man... just something about a shorter guy. I mean sure if I met a tall man, that had nice shoulders and that stalky build, then I might reconsider...but for now...shorties come to this amazon woman!!!! | |

I have dated tall guys though. I wont date below 6ft as it gets silly. For this I have been accused of being heighest 
But you do see a lot of tall guys with short girls. My sons dad has been with a 4ft10 girl for the last three years (man, I really don't know what it was I did to put him off tall women lol) | |

Posted: 12/21/2005 7:16:39 AM | Well to me, it could be said that most women in general don't like shorter guys. Shirter women want a tall man b/c they wish to feel protected. Taller women want a taller man b/c a taller man makes them feel more demure and proportionate. The last girl I dated was 5'10" and wasn't overly comfortable dating someone shorter than herself, esp. when I insisted that she wear heels b/c I loved how they look on her.
Studies have shown that taller men, (5'10"+), often get promoted more quickly in the workplace and tend as well to have large pay raises and more oportunities in general.
Now, why taller men are not being attracted to you is a bit of a mystery. I don't exactly have an answer for you as to the "why" of it all. However, while it might be hard to do gievn the fact that we are attracted to what we are attarcted to, you might try to put aside your bias towards shorter men. In the same way that animals can sense fear, people can sense confidence. If, as a taller woman, you feel no sense of shame or trepidation going out with and even being involved with a shorter man, I would venture a guess than men of all heigths would take notice of your level of self confidence. I am sure that as a woman you know what a major turn on this can be.
As for being intimidating, yes, there IS that factor. I however, am one of those types who enjoy chatting up the women that would intimidate most men. Frankly, if a man finds you that "intimidating" I can't see how he would be of much use to you in general, as it doesn't sound like he would be someone to spur you on to greater things given his own lack of confidence. It's not uncommon that men (and women) want someone they can (to a point) "control". Some men are just not up for the challenge of a strong woman. If you can teach yourself to look past the heigth issue and focus on something else, you might actually end up finding that which you currently seek. And if not, it won't matter anyway.
All the same, taller women in general might give those of us who are NOT 5'10"+ a bit more of a break. | |

I personally am not intimidated by a woman who towers over me, but do recognise that it might be awkward for the lady, seeing as I'm only 5ft :) Heck, if she's comfortable with me, I'm all for it!
Yes, I've gotten the "You're not tall enough for me" line a few times, but never could bring myself to think of the person as shallow. "Each according to their own" is how I view things. | |
