But they allow society to control them. Those that are bound by societies judgments are weak. And that not only goes for taller women being afraid to date shorter men, but it goes for people that don't date interracially, for men that don't date big women, or people that base their preferences NOT BY WHAT THEY WANT, but by what others want FOR them. | |

I date only the same height or taller. I have dated shorter, but the height ultimately gets in the way. The worst part about being tall is having your boyfriend ask to borrow your clothes........... !
Tamaraz: Tall Girl has inseams up to 42". They have a wide variety of clothes from casual to formal.

It's not about the height that makes a person, it is the person with who they are within themselfs....i don't feel bad about being so short and never had a problem with taller or shorter guys.....but to go dancing with a 6ft3' and be amusing to others .......lol..... | |

Go to Tall Girls. All they sell are clothes meant for tall women. They have a few stores throughout Ontario. I go to the one at Yorkdale. They sell jeans, dress pants, casual pants and even pajamas bottoms. Some brand names like Parasuco and Foxy jeans are available. Reasonable prices too. Anywear from $50 a pair to $150. I'm not super tall, 5'10", but my legs are really long so pants are always an issue for me. Gap also carries some of their pants in long versions. Jean Machine carries Mavi jeans and Parasuco and they come in long. A little bit pricier though.
Back on topic. I really don't find that men don't like tall women. Some do and some don't. Just like some like blondes, some like redheads. Some guys like thin girls and some like thick. It's all in preferences and how you carry yourself. You'll never catch me slouching or trying to hide my height. I usually wear a 2 to 3 inch heel so my average height is 6'0" or 6'1". I love it! And yes men notice the long legs a lot. I wear skirts as often as possible, hehe. | |

Posted: 12/24/2005 12:55:16 PM | I am 6'6" and when i walk into a room, it is the tall woman that really catches my attention! I don't just limit myself to tall women.....but they generally are the ones I notice first. Most of the women I have dated though have been shorter like around 5'5'' or shorter....just the way the ball bounced.
I can't think of ever being approached by a tall women though, almost all of the women that have approached me are the shorter ones, it seems as if they are the more outgoing and aggressive of the lot.
As far as a persons height goes, at least for me, is just an appearance, like hair or eye color, after that it depends on the persons personality , their sense of humor and chemistry as to wether it will go anywhere or not.....
....just my thoughts on the subject? | |

just think, nice long silky smooth sexy legs sure make a gorgeous and delightful site in a short skirt, mini or short dress and high heels, god amighty what a delicious site....
you tall girls just need to be patient and wait for a real man to come along that can handle ya... also it might help alot to throw on a mini and heels and go to the mall, advertize yourseft, let guys see ya....
and for gods sake when you sit, don't cover your legs with hands and sweaters, your legs are half of your body, use them to your advantage....
and walk slowly, carry something that you can drop for a guy to pick up when you see one that catches your attention....or if you see a guy you like, ask him for the time, get close, be real.....
yes girls we are out here, you just have to slow down and look...

Instinctively, men are impressed by size. Just like a guy is less likely to make fun of a beefy body builder. Men probably think a tall woman is not one to mess with because she can kick you down if you accumilate too many a$$hole miles. What's a smaller woman gonna do (unless she is into self-defense or other).
Some men feel that tall is less feminine (style of walking, etc.). If she is tall they can't protect her ... because she discourages 'predators' on her own (what about women in Martial Arts ... they don't need protecting either).
I'd say the opposite is true from my perspective since I have never been approached or hit on my a woman under 5ft 8in. Natural selection seems to be attracted to the creatione of balanced offspring ... and so short men to tall woman and tall guys to short women (grumble).
The most humourous thing I have ever hear about women attracted to tall men has been that instinctively women choose tall men due to their more powerful immune system and more their ability to more easily defend against threats; both traits are desirable in the creation of children.  How is that for a come on line. | |
