| Men don't like TALL women
Posted: 12/31/2005 12:27:40 AM | Try being a short guy! I am 5'6" tall and so I am automatically eliminated by the tall women...most of them anyways. I dated a tall woman once for almost a month....everything was good, until she told me that the height difference was too much for her. (apparently she was listening to other peoples comments)
So for the women upset that men do not like tall ladies...it does work both ways. Some of us short guys do not care about height, but get discriminated against by taller women. 
It is a miracle our species did not die out long ago with this fussiness!!

But seriously, I rarely date men who are more then an inch shorter then me. It just feels odd. I like to look up into his eyes, slide my hands up around his neck or lay my head on his chest. It's almost impossible to do this with a much smaller man. | |

Posted: 12/31/2005 4:27:13 AM | Egads, just saw the initial post, and have bypassed reading the rest just to say that the hottest woman I was ever involved with, and I am not a height obsessive in the least and had never had a woman taller than me before, was 6' 2", with dyed bright red hair! So there. Attraction is attraction, manouverability was fun to work out initially, but it was sorted soon enough, great times were had. That is the extent of my arguement. Its New Years Eve in Oz, 10:30pm, I am in a house full of strange people, my houseshare, arghhhh, my poor head.
Anyway, tall women rock, just from that one experience, but still. Anyway, from most of the women I know, friends and the like, they mainly like guys who are taller than them.
What does this prove? Buggered if I know.

So I'm pretty tall and I've always been the tallest through school and at work. I definately prefer shorter woman, always have. How short you say as this is relative? Between 5' and 5'8" is the best for me personally. And why? I truly believe it's because I like to feel that I'm the protector of the person I'm seeing. The knight in shining armor. As macho and sexist as that sounds I truly think that's the truth. I also like the idea that I can toss her around in the bedroom but that's another matter. haha. Serious though, taller woman don't repulse me or anything like that. It's just a matter of preference. If she was super nice and she was tall I wouldn't just not date her because of that! OMG that would just be the stupidest thing ever. I also think that a apart of it is because my dad is taller than my mom and a son usually takes after his father a bit. | |

hey good things come in small packages as well - I dated someone who was shorter than me - the most fun person I ever dated.
Guess everyone has their own preferences - I always wanted to date a much taller (I am 5.5) - and never thought I would date someone shorter - but I was glad I did. When it comes to a fun person, the height isn't a concern with me. | |

Okay, now that we have made our smartass comment for 2006, and broken New Years resolution #1 we can be serious. Yes Tall men like Tall women. I am 6'7'' and this is my take on what is going on. Tall Women are more fun to cuddle and hold hands with. You can slow dance with them and not look silly. You can stand and look them in the eye while you are talking to them, oh wait that might not be a good thing scratch that!lol! Short or tall I'm happy with either so long as your are warm and personable, smart and attractive and you like similar things that I like, don't smoke, and are fun to be around. That sounds pretty good to me!    | |
