I know a lot of men that won't date a woman that is taller, makes more money, more intelligent, more assertive, flirts (which is not a bad thing), has male friends, talks to men while on a date and men will shy away from women who don't drink because that means you really have to have a real conversation and she will "not be easy" So my dear you need to find a real man not a boy. You need to find a man who is extremely secure with who he is in life and won't look at you for anything except for who you are as a person and can you make him a better person and can he make you a better person and can you laugh and cry together. Basically...I think it's an instinctive thing that guys like short girls because taller girls especially ones who are attractive are quite intimidating. A lot of the dispositions towards you would be along the lines of "she's so good...she wouldn't even look at a guy like me". It takes a special kind of guy who's confident enough to approach a tall girl.
That's basically right, except that its because women are instinctively attracted to tall men, and all men instinctively know this. So, the shorter the woman, the taller then man seems, the taller the woman, the shorter the man, and the less "attractive power" they possess. | |

I guess its cause ive worked out heavily for years and i felt so powerful that i always thought a taller woman would kinda balance things out. In reality the only reason taller women do go for tall guys is so they feel safe and protected and feminin and if any taller women says otherwise.....come on your bluffing and you know it. Most see shorter guys as a joke. Fair enough. Just good luck trying to find a taller guy that adores a taller woman. Theres some but its rare. Thats why i believe most taller women are single there standards are too high. Just my point i think the subject has many points that are valid but i think alot of people mentioned this point more often then not. I dont think many men are intimadted by a taller woman as much as some women may like to think. Times have changed. Blacks date whites. The wife perhaps makes more money then her husband. One thing i do respect about taller women looking for a taller man is that everyone has a prefernce wich is fair. But like i said before....if you set a bar too high youll set yourself up for failure. Anyway thats my point of view id love to hear opinions on it cause for me it is a intresting subject. | |

Excuse me! I know plenty of tall women who are self concious and try to hide at parties (thought I have given them hell about it)
Short people can have presence too - its all attitude and confidence as well. The short guy I dated had confidence oozing out of every pore and he was very tall in his attitude...
Height doesn't matter a whole lot to me - its what else the person can bring forward.
And lots of shorter girls have nice legs - and look great in heels! | |

And stating height shouldn't be a main thing when choosing a mate, and that there are a lot of both men and women out there that are shorter, that have lots of good qualities...

I was lucky enough to meet Rene Levesque at a corner store in Quebec City just after the Parti Quebecois was elected. I disagreed totally politically with him, but had a deep respect for the way he expressed himself.
I am six feet tall, and he was about five three.
He had a remarkably charisma, and literally took over the room. He was also the consumate ladies man. He certainly wasn't a model, chainsmoked, was very short - and still had an overpowering presence.
When the Quebec government put up his statue, his family made it very clear they wanted it life size. The government of course made it eight feet tall.
They didn't show him smoking, but Quebecers regularly slip cigarettes into one of hi hands.

I never said anything against tall people - just said that short people have their points as well - and obviously you have something against shorter people? I have lots of friends that are very tall - one almost 6ft - and I have dated someone 6'4 and one 5'3. But some people prove they are shorter when it comes to their immaturity HINT
Montrealguy - many amazing people were considered short - its not the height - its the attitude and the confidence.= charisma

I did notice that my one friend who is 5'10 had problems in the past having guys come up to her - she is beautiful - but some seemed intimidated by her. Didn't help she wore platform boots - which made her 6'2. But she realized it wasn't her height - it was her confidence. As soon as she started not giving a rats ass, and found her inner sexiness, she had no more problems. | |
