Here I am divorced after 13 years of a bad marriage. I am single because I can't find a woman to even date.
But when I was married I found 2 women that would have dated me in spite of my being married.

Right now, I'm just satisfying my needs without commitment. There's so much pressure to meet someone and become their SO that it isn't even fun anymore. So, if I meet someone while I'm out having fun and making friends, so be it. I'm happier because of it. Besides, people are more attractive when they're satisfied within themselves. I said that I hadn't found anything I liked better and that I would rather be single than in a bad relationship as they described. They couldn't understand that. Seems they prefer misery to alone...I don't get it at all!
So yes some people ask me that (my family and friends do not) and I tell the truth...I would rather be alone and happy than to be in a relationship just to be in one. Besides singletons can have tons of fun. If single means alone and lonely then yes, that's no fun. But you can be single and not lonely, and that is lots of fun! | |

Life, work and activities keep me fairly busy, which can also make it hard to truly get to know someone. Rather than end up in the wrong relationship, it's better to take your time.

its a mixture of things meeting people at the wrong time you mite of hit of off with now you didnt then,ie theyd just come out of a relationship.etc.
various things crop up like the person was influenced by her children as what they thought of you,and what they could get away with.
meaning i once had a partner who had no control over them,i calmed down the situation regarding the kids and one resented it,the other liked me being around when push came to shove the partner took the kids side understandably, and therefore was left on her own anyway.and i daresay the paetterns occured since.
your alone for reasons you can help and those you cant. | |

Posted: 6/4/2007 6:42:41 AM | this was mentioned to me before or at least implied. i am still single or not in a committed relationship because have not found a gal who would work well with me in a committed partnership. am definitely open to it and welcome it.  
but the scary part for me being in mid 30's is that i enjoy being single or unattached in a relationship so much that if unable to find a suitable gal am willing to be single and consider having kids out of wedloc rather than marrying someone i thought would make a poor partner for me and ruin a chance at being happy. am actually happy single. so you can say i don't need someone to make me happy if that is possible. rather someone who i can work well with and is interested in being in the relationship | |
