Posted: 9/11/2007 3:37:52 PM | I think partly because its so much less hassle being single lol , but also as i have no confidence in how i look i just think cause im a big bird most guys aint interested or if they might be then i worry about meeting cause think they will take one look and think ughhhh, OR as i get a fair bit , guys who aint after relationships, just a bit of fun ! wich ok is all well in good BUT when you have kids involved and dont wish to be percived as a slag then it leaves options limited  | |

i thought i looked ok till i went on here  . thing is sights like this bring u down.
but if u look on the bright side there is hell of a lot of ppl who feal like u and its a matter of time befor u meet them..then u never no . .try a to take up a hobby and meet new ppl .the more ppl u meet the more chance u have of meeting the one for u and u have already met them so no worrys of what the will think when u meet them your only get that on here

Posted: 9/12/2007 9:57:20 PM | | Well the "one" only comes around once in a blue moon...and if he isn't the one...there isn't any point in dating and I rather be single and make new friends...besides...I think relationships/marriage is over rated...every couple I've hung out with in the past month...no exageration...besides my parents...were constantly bickering, fighting, belittling each other...I don't get it...it doesn't seem like a satisfying, fulfilling, rewarding relationship/scenario to be in...more like misery...or is this not indicative of a true and loving relationship but people who have just settled and when reality kicked in...they lacked true compassion for each and respect because the relationship lacked the true love quality...and unfortunately this type of relationship is probably representative of 85% of marriages/couples. | |

NEWSFLASH: Finding out if someone is good for you takes a bit of time and giving people a chance. I wish I could detect these idiots early so I wouldn't have to waste my time on someone that can find something wrong regardless of how good things could be. | |

Posted: 9/16/2007 3:43:33 PM | No need for apologies, I agree w/your point that it does take time, ALOT of time to get to know someone. However, we all have our reasons and rationale for still being single.
Not going to dwell on the obvious: haven't met the right person, too busy with one's career, children, going through a divorce, are helping out w/aging parents/grandparents, death of a loved one.
I'm single right now because I choose to be and none of the above apply. | |
