Let me start by saying that I'm okay with myself, and happy. Being single isn't bothersome to me. I just don't want it to be permant.
Reasons I'm single:
Very Busy.
Stuffy Converstation tone. Try to improve upon, but that is me. I would call this my biggest fault.
Being bald doesn't help.
Small child, goes with the busy thing.
Those that I'm interested aren't interested in me and vice versa. | |

To be able to do what you want without worrying about how it's going to effect the wife and kids (or NOT be able to do something because of how it effects the wife and kids) is a very advantageous position to be in, economically, etc. Now I know some of the divorced people out there are going to say that's selfish. To that I say BS! If I had a family to support it would be selfish but since I'm single it only makes good sense and a smart person will take advantage and make the most of it 
Now should the day come when I cross paths with someone special enough that we decide we want to spend the rest of our lives together then so be it..........

If I list the comments from those I have gone out with it would be the following: I'm beautiful but could loose 20lbs, I talk too much, I care too much, or over analyze.
I am possibly single because I don't approach guys that I am interested in. I ignore them and just hope that they will realize that they've lost my attention and care. I must do something that tips people off to place me in the friend category but I am yet to figure that out. I expect alot from someone that has interest in me. It's not so much about money but I find that I can be more creative with dates then the guys are and it just makes me feel like I could do so much better. I would not mind getting to know someone while walking on a beach or playing a sport. I realize when someone make a comment that is a put down I tend to just leave/run, which anyone in their right mind would do. Another reason is the sex tool, I don't use it until I feel that it is right. Apparently from my record I must wait too long but I feel like i wait the right amount of time to know that they 'weren't that into me". Since I don't use sex as a tool I don't do relationships that arn't real and are put together too fast because I like to take my time. I feel that if someone is really interested in you they will make a way... | |

I also had to work two jobs to support myself, so there wasn't much time for socializing. Now I'm in my 30's and settled and now dating is more of a priority. | |

Most people wanna see fireworks and sparks the first night.I guess in my mind thats not realistic.A first date is like a job interview at first.Its not usually very comfortable and don't know what to expect.I don't really chase anymore.Seems so many women are pissed off from being pestered by so many men at a time.So I let them find me.I have enough friends and hobbies to keep me busy till the right girl for me comes by. | |

Posted: 6/10/2009 7:45:38 PM | It is no longer a matter of wanting a guy to actually pay attention to you or even remember you in a few weeks. It is actually down to how much stupid crap are you willing to take.
Expecting a man to show up, behave decently, and remember your name, are just too taxing on the male species at this point...or so they have told me.
The last man I dated told me on our first date that he was looking for someone that was not a hard partier and would want to get to know him and spend time with him. He wanted what his parents had..35 years of happy marriage.
Then decided mid stream to binge drink every weekend and forget when we had plans. Then seemed mystified that I was frustrated with the situation, and upset with me when I reminded him that he had stated he was wanting something less dramatic.
I don't binge drink. I don't stay up all night. I'm usually in bed by midnight...even if I went out.
I'm 35, not 21.
I have a lot of interests that don't require alcohol. I do enjoy a drink now and then, but it is not a major part of my life.
The last two men I dated stated this as part of the reason they didn't want to keep seeing me. I didn't drink enough. | |

I'm single because I won't buy a $50,000 car to drive her butt around to places she only wants to go.
I'm single because women over 35 seem to search for flaws in a guy more than search for any qualities.
I'm single because I won't bang a girl the first day I meet her, or try to, yet she keeps waiting for when I will be a "typical guy".
I am single because I won't date multiple women, I will put time into getting to know just one at a time.
I'm single because I live in a bachelor apartment and she thinks that if she was to come over and god forbid have sex, that the people walking in the hallway will hear.
I'm single because most women hate a sense of humour and like when guys bullshite them so then they can go and complain to thier girlfriends about how much of an a$$hole he was.
I'm single because I have no illegitimate kids running around and support payments. Women think that I just do not want anything serious if I have none.
