The older women I've been with never really wanted anything "long-term" They were like kittens with a toy. They'd smack me around a bit every now and then until something new came across
Sorry to hear it, K3vlar! But I don't think that has as much to do with age as it does with the kind of person they are.
I'm seeing a lovely man 9 years my junior and so far, so good! Personally, I am not looking for just a toy at all - am, in fact, hoping that this is really going to go somewhere - but I must say, I much prefer younger to older simply because of my personality. Men older than I am often have way too much baggage (I mean we all have it, just have to put it away where you can't trip over it all the time - something the older men I've come across haven't managed to do) and are just too - how to say this delicately... nope, can't - DULL! (Apologies to any older guys who might be offended, but it's just my opinion.)
So far, things between my "young 'un" and me have been going fabulously (I'm nearly 45, he's 36)! And it definitely DOES have to do with our compatibility. We have enough in common to enjoy each other's company and enough NOT in common to make it fresh and fun! And he loves to laugh, which is huge with me!
...oh yeah, and he's a phenomenal kisser!!

A buddy of mine was with someone 17 years his senior and it worked for a while, but he is only in his early thirtys and she is now 60. They are no longer together as she has slowed considerably and he is just hitting his stride.
As long as you are cool and can accept that you may grow apart... it's all good! Hell two people the same age can grow apart just as easily.

I remain quite intrigued why so many seem to think its okay for an older man/younger woman pairing than the other way around. Really - its a mind set and a mutual interest that makes the relationships work..... or not. Just be real about what your situation is and will be.
My two bits worth. jtf | |

Good point. I guess as long as the two of you are on the same page, it is possible.

| younger man older woman??? Posted: 3/16/2009 11:02:17 PM | Well, 11 years in age, isn't too, too bad, as long as he can understand an elder woman's needs, and what she is all about, for a woman of 32.
However tho, what was really interesting is that 18 year old male school student, hitting on his nearly 30 year old female school teacher, a little while back.
But, it was HIM, that probably instigated it, and not her.
However, when ya take that scenario down in Washington State, of the Mary Kay LaTurner case, of a 30 plus school teacher of having a baby, with her 15 year old male student, that is going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the boundaries, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooo far.
Guess she must of liked the attention she got from him, probably liked it too much, that she had a baby with him.

My boys have had older women eyeballing them ever since they hit puberty. I assumed these women wanted my boys for their daughters, but after reading all these posts I'm starting to wonder. Hmm ...

Yuppers. and with the younger guys testosterone levels going through the roof, ya cannot tell me, MediaNaranja, that the "Prowling Couger Concept" of elder woman wouldn't just LOVE to get her "fangs" into some new and fresh, young "Cougar" meat.
Especially, a full course meal, at meal time. LOL
Wonder what she will have for desert, afterwards.
Wellllllll, that is why she is called a "Cougar" , isn't she?????????????
Once a "Cougar" always a "Cougar" eh.

| younger man older woman??? Posted: 3/23/2009 4:35:12 AM | | My last 2 partners were 10 and 11 yrs younger than me. It was the same as any age except for the more youthful way they looked. I really don't care that much about age. When I was 19 I dated a 39 yr old. I'm still friends with him today. He lives in Florida but he or he and his wife visit me once every 5 yrs or so. He's now 71 LOL | |

| younger man older woman??? Posted: 3/23/2009 8:22:37 PM | I've gone out to several pof events, and I have a blast with the older women at these events. They're so much more fun! I can just flirt and be a brat all I want!! And they soak it all up!! When I'm out with a crowd of girls my own age, It's just not the same. I can't pin-point the reasons. Maybe cuz I dont get slapped for acting innapropriately???? | |
