| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/28/2005 10:02:51 PM | | well ive gotta disagree with everyone. The greatest act of love is to know when a realtionship has become harmful to yourself, to leave it as hard as it is, and move on, to find a new beautiful healthy love thats give and take. You'll never find true love until u love yourself first, cuz if u dont u will stay in that shitty relationship, for fear there is nothing better out there for u. Your true love will never find u. | |

| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/29/2005 1:05:41 AM | Letting go. If i know she'll be happier in someone else's arms. Holding on. If i know she'll be happier in mine. If i don't know, i'll let her make the decision, respect it and be happy that she's happier this way. Either way.
Drama aside, I think the greatest act of love someone could do for me is simply to let me know that i have THAT special place in her heart. Not just any place, but THAT special place.
But that's just me. | |

No need to disagree with us all... we all have a different walk in life, we all have something to share that is based on our own experience...
and it was nice to hear about your definition of a great act of love.
Thanks for sharing, and I hope you have inspired somebody else to bring there different view forward. We can all learn from each other if we keep an open mind...
and if we can get past my bad spelling and grammer!!!
lol,. lol

Thanks for joining our chat.... great points
Your a wise man.
I guess the only trouble for me and many of us is knowing when it's time to let go and when it's time to hang on.

| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/29/2005 5:34:24 AM | ^^^^ ahhh VICKY192... my soul cries out to yours darlin'
The Greatest Act of Love huh? Hmmm ....
How about this:
To allow someone to dream their dreams. Support them no matter how ridiculous or unattainable they may be, because you love them enough to allow them the freedom to try and your loving arms to catch them if they fall. To love them in such an unconditional way that you live every moment with them....feel every thought....allow them to shine, while you support, encourage and involve them. To never allow a single day to pass without taking time to touch their face and tell them you crave them in every way simply by looking deeply into their eyes. To give them the respect and honour of being your ONE without reserve or question....doubt or uncertainty. That you hold them as your heart....like no other that could ever compliment or complete you in the same way...

| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/29/2005 6:11:42 AM | | The greatest act of love? When you call your sweety at 7PM, tell her you're finally coming home and you don't want any supper because you're not hungry because you still haven't solved the problem at work and when you arrive home and open the door she's standing there in a Victoria's Secret outfit. YES!!!!!!!!! | |

Posted: 12/29/2005 7:14:24 AM | I think yes as you said all that well and could not agree more,to let your love live their dreams and support them.and be there if they fall.unconditionally love them, omg i sound mushy and did not think i was the romantic type lol.yes holding them in your heart and to give them the freedom they need and to trust.to love them and hold them in your arms at night. If they are sick be there to care for them and be by their side and let them know how they rock your world''.I would also say to carry their baby is the greatest act of love in human bonding in a couple, but for some of us ,this point in our life this is past. But i always felt this was a beautiful way to show your love to each other is to have a baby together.I guess it can mean different things to many of us.

| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/29/2005 9:57:37 AM | Thanks to all parents for reminding me of what I'm missing since I am not one. Caring for one’s children and teaching them how to navigate life is definitely up they amongst the greatest Acts of love.
No body should argue with that unless their mother or father was an axe murderer who tried to kill them. Or your nuts and you like to shoot your self in the foot by cursing your parents who gave you life.
To give life is one thing but how about saving a life or two. What about the sacrifices are forefathers made to keep our country free. A lot of them gave up their lives so we can live free.
There is a lot of good stuff on this thread and i think we should keep it going!!
What's your view? | |

Yes, Romeo is good example with the pound of flesh... yada, yada,
evennow,
Twisted theory Babe… but I'm sure you can get away with it. If I was so lucky, all you would have to do for me is replace that love lose with some words form your heart like "I love you" simple but it would work in your case.

| The Greatest Act of Love??? Posted: 12/29/2005 5:31:55 PM | To let someone die. I have seen many having cancer treatments....even though they don't want to. It will only prolong their life by a month or two....yet those few "extra" months are filled with agonizing nausea and pain....why prolong this?
Too many think of what would benefit them and not the terminally ill....when convincing the one they love to have treatment.
