| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 1/2/2007 10:58:37 PM | Mmmmm, the '70 AAR Cuda tops my list of fav's. Its got a nice sized engine that wouldn;t be a pain to work on and some nice extras added on that the base Cuda didn;t come with. Just enough to make the casual car person have to ask what it is. Love that side exiting exhaust. | |

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 1/7/2007 11:18:23 PM | | I am currently trying to restoring a 1976 Dodge Dart, tha car with the most indestructable engine there is. It has the 225 Slant 6. Not a big muscle car but a damn good Mopar in its own right. | |

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 6/10/2007 8:00:12 AM | | Buyin a house has slowed my mopar collectin but I would'nt mind gettin my hands on a hemi c or magnum write off for the power train and electrical to update things in one of my 79 magnums. I think that would make for a very good driver. One of those varriable displacement HEMI'S would realy wake up that old magnum. The new challenger would definatly be cool if it makes production. what ever hapended to the power wagon concept that was to make production a few years back? | |

ahem....cough....cough.....Fah-ord....cough.....
Keep revvin little fella, that thing may start one day.
Viper, hands down.
A guy up the road restores and sells J-body (I think that's the one) mopars and has about a dozen of them. Seriously impressive. He's got a couple of very old power wagons too, even more impressive.
There was a superbird at the Amelia Island show one year that had never been sold, still had all the buils stickers and grease pen markings on. I think the guy must have kept it in his basement in an inert helium atmosphere or something...

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 7/1/2007 10:39:04 AM | I had a '68 Charger with a 440 4sp. It was SICK! Before that I had a '70 Road Runner with the 440, pistol grip 4sp, and the "beep beep" horn. The telephone pole won that battle. I have always wanted a Superbird, painted Slime Lime. Just a bright yellow blur and the sound of exhaust fading into the distance. hehe
I had a 1970 Camaro RS/SS that was the fastest car I have ever been in. Scary fast.
The new Charger R/Ts are pretty sweet.

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 7/1/2007 5:40:24 PM | my 1st car was Dodge, umm forgot what..called it my "old lady car" even though I was young then.? They used them for cop cars in the 60's? Think mine was a 60 something, built like a brick shithouse. In an ice storm I watched a car slide down a hill into it,,,smashed the hell out of that poor car, not a dent on mine. 7 years, hardly ever a prob with her.
Next a 70 something Dart, but wanted a 50 -60 something (azzholio ex stole it from me) before I ever even got to drive it!
Then I had a 76 Dodge Aspen slant 6, called it my "nunmobile" it looked respectable. But, had a great sound system, music blaring. But, I moved to the beach and some body rust turned into massive probs, but, that engine was still great! Had her for 13 years. Hurt like hell to "let her go"

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 7/2/2007 10:12:12 AM | ^^^^hehehe. That's a good one. I always knew what FORD stood for.
Fu@cked Over Rebuilt Dodge.
I have owned 2 very fast Mopars, and ridden in several. But I built that Camaro to win bets. It was too fast for police radar to accurately clock it's speed. They took it and crushed it the first time they caught me.
Back OT: I remember an episode of Married with Children. And this old prospector told Al..
"Dodge is a damn fine car...I ran over my wife with a Dodge".

Oh, the 1st 1 I spoke of was a Coronet..ugly but reliable. I payed $700 for 7 yrs, with few repair bills. Sold it to an old couple for $150, there were so happy to get it & I felt good about that...

| Calling all mopar people What's your fav MOPAR Posted: 12/23/2007 3:50:54 PM | 1995 Plymouth Acclaim. Quick & reliable, and very impressive (safety) in a wreck. Fun to drive. The only thing I spent money on was motor mounts (pgh. hilly streets) | |

#1 69 Charger #2 66 - 73 Cuda #3 68 Polara #4 70 Super Bee #5 71 Dart
Since I was a kid, I've thought mopars were superior to the others. The Big Bad body styles and big blocks, I miss em. Funny how the basic old vintage mopars bring such a high dollar these days. I should ditched the wife and kept the mopars, ended up divorced anyway.
