| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 10/28/2007 2:35:05 PM | Hmmm.
I'd be rather disappointed, really. I mean, if He was suddenly in the room, that would imply He hasn't been for an appreciable length of time. Why create something if you're just going to abandon it?
Anyway. I don't think the Divine would ever stoop so low as to manifest Itself in a way that my puny human brain can understand. Where's the mystery? where's the drive to seek It, to understand It? No, I don't see that happening.
That, and if it did, my brain would asplode. :-P

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/2/2007 4:51:20 AM | | If you are as all mighty and powerful as you claim to be. If you are perfect. If you indeed did create the universe. If you really do want everybody to believe in you. Why not just ask all the observatories on the planet to point thier telescopes to a portion of the sky, say on May, 30th, happens to be my birthday, at midnight and watch closely as you creat another moon just like the one as so many say you created six thousand years ago? Only took you a day right? Science will pay attention that long. That I can promise you. Would convince me at least. | |

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/2/2007 9:05:18 AM | I'm stuck between a bowl of oatmeal and pancakes... Yes, yes, I know I have free will, but do you mind taking this one for me?
Oatmeal? Hey thanks buddy... You can go back to my mind now... I'll call you if you're needed.

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 1:02:40 AM | Since God is Omnipresent it is a ridiculously hypothetical question to begin with.
I ask Him questions everyday. And He answers me everyday. Sometimes He says no. Sometimes it is yes. Sometimes it is wait.
One should read the last few chapters of the Book of Job and see what God's answers were to Job when he had the temerity to ask "why?".

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 1:42:58 AM | I'd ask why do you let so many smacktards presume to speak in Your Name without smiting them down? Are you saving it up for a big surprise at the end?
And then I'd ask, can I watch...and will there be popcorn?
And then I'd offer to buy him a cold one while he fries the hypocritical c***ts for a few decades.
And we'd laugh and smoke a bowl of one of his fine plants that he made for us to enjoy...Iree...everyt'ing gonna be alright now...
Then if we weren't to wiped, I'd ask if we could go kick Hitler and Martin Luther around for a bit.

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 5:11:55 AM | | Hey god. Would you do this for me. On christmas eve this year at say midnight, create another moon and place it right next to the one they say you created, what was it, six thousand years or so ago? Give all the scientists and astronomers enough notice so they can point all thier telescopes and such in the right direction. Then when the clock strikes twelve, let er rip. If that's too much for one day's work just get started. take six days if you need them and rest on the seventh. Should be a slam dunk for you right? Do that and you will have succeeded in convincing every skeptic that exists now and forever. Sure would work for me anyway. | |

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 1:24:28 PM | | Oh definetely, my only question would be, is there one right religion? and if so, which one of course, and if there is one right one, and we did not make the correct choice here on earth, why did he make make three major ones and give people the chance to make a mistake and go to hell? I have wrestled this question over the years, Christianity seems OK, but Islam actually makes more sense to me, except for the constant praying, I dont' see why any God would give his Son, when he could have done the whole process by himself, and Christianity is just so damn easy, and killer can go to heaven at the last moment of death, by accepting Jesus as his savior, yet Mother Theresa who has been sacrificing all her life will go there right with him, kinda puzzeling don't you think? | |

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 2:23:18 PM | God gives us NOTHING for free. He wont just give us "another moon" because we have to earn our faith. We are supposed to do the footwork for everything we need. WE'RE HERE TO SERVE HIM and not vice versa (sp?) That's the wole point. Faith is not easy to come by. You cant buy it. You cant see it. You cant measure it. Its not supposed to be easy. Maybe its just me, but when I look for a short cut or the easy way out, I never like the result. He wont plop a new moon in my lap or deliver my soul mate to my door or just give me happiness. I have to earn it.
And since we're ar e not supposed to understand His infinite wisdom and understand His plan for each of us, we just have to keep plugging and do as we think he wants us to. We GET to trust that he has a plan for us. I have two special needs kids. I'm not punished, I'm blessed cause He trusts me with His special kids.
And God is forgiving, thats why someone who sins can go to him. He put us here and turned us loose to make our own decisions, to use our own will. I've survved my mistakeds only because he's guiding me. when its my turn to go, it will be on His terms. I'll find my "match" when he deems its time. Per his plan, not mine.

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 11/25/2007 4:23:06 PM | | Wow. Way to both be preachy/proselytizing and completely ignore the topic (which isn't saying much, as the topic is preachy too). | |

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 12/1/2007 10:21:54 AM | Hey jrbogie; You are alive and able to fly, that should be proof enough for you. As far as all of the scientists go, don't worry about them, they'll always have a logical reply for why things are as God has done them. We live by faith and example. SO YOU show those scientists that there is a God and he does wonderous things!!! BTW - you sound like a very interesting man and I hope your divorce goes through quickly if that is how HE wants it. Would love to chat, talk, or do coffee/tea anytime. Take care BYS loosepetals | |

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 12/1/2007 2:15:31 PM | | It is said by those who are able to communicate with pure spirits who have actually and finally made themselves fit to be able to withstand being in the presence of God, that they prefer being there over being anywhere else even though His universe is theirs to explore. If this is so, I guess any irate thing we might have had to say at that time regarding our journey will be forgotten. | |

What's the deal about a platypus?
when he created all living things upon the surface of the earth, he was actually playing a game of cosmic tops and tails....he just had two unmatched cards at the end of that day, so he said..."what the heck, I'll join these two together and stick them in the Antipodes. Nobody will ever notice them there."
It makes just about as much sense as creation "science" I guess.

| If you had God in the room with you... Posted: 12/1/2007 5:29:29 PM | First of all if we saw God in our room we wouldn't live to talk about it, for no one can see him and live to talk about it... Only Moses and few did .. because they were chosen by him. But I talk to him every day and every evening.... I don't have to see him to talk to see him, to talk to him , he is with me every day ...... of my life as he is with you all too... it is us who wonder not him ... he is there with us in good and in bad.... Blessings | |
