| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/23/2007 7:26:28 AM | I love grey hair on guys, and even have it posted on my profile. It makes a man look attractive, and makes him appear distinguished, in my opinion.
I once dated a guy with greay hair, who talked of coloring his hair - nnnoooo!!!

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/23/2007 8:18:13 AM | Yes. Why be something you aren't? | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/23/2007 11:39:44 AM | | I have a very large band of hair which is going more white than grey...on the sides & around the back and slowly starting to filter through on top. I am quite happy with it though as I am fair haired anyway.....why waste money trying to fight it..??, I accept mine quite gracefully. | |

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/23/2007 12:05:13 PM | My first post on POF and it's about grey hair...
I too am sporting a salt and pepper look. In my case it is not grey hair but stark white against a very dark brown full head of hair. I would never consider dying my hair. It is natural and doesn’t bother me one bit. What does surprise me is that my father who is now 77 didn't start going grey until he was in his 60's. I started in my 40's. I guess genes aren't everything.

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/27/2007 11:28:41 AM | My chin and jawline are mostly grey/white this year. The rest has a lot of grey.
Get away from me with that dye. But I do miss the hair on top!
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/27/2007 2:01:52 PM | I got my first grey hair at the ripe old age of 16....Too many for me to pluck now. I will colour my hair once in a while, as I get tired of looking at the grey. Also, I look much younger when you can't see the grey.
doesn't bother me if a guy has grey hair.
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 6/27/2007 3:26:47 PM | | gawd I hope so. I now have a small patch of grey on my head and when I have any facial hair its half grey. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/6/2007 3:53:57 PM | | Got my first grey hair at 15 years old. my natural hair colour is now completely white. I will carry on colouring mine forever,.. especially for now, as I dont want to look like a white haired grandma from the back. not only that, if a ladies hair is long, and she doesnt want to cut it, how long will it take to grow out? I dont mind grey hair on anyone else except myself. Lol, I already look too much like Morticia Addams, I dont want to make it worse with white streaks running through my hair. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/6/2007 7:07:21 PM | Got some "salt and pepper" in my hair....yuck...ok now that it's out...oh look gray hairs on the side! It's funny that my sister is the only one that seems evil enough to point that out to me. "Oh you're turning gray! AHAHAHH" Yeah, yeah....shaddup...your older then me and you dye your hair!! Sorry...sibling rivalry. I really couldn't care about my aging hair. I probably won't say that when I turn fully gray...but for now...meh. I've still got some colour left in it yet...perhaps love will revitalize it back into it full strength!
(dream on guy...dream on.)

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/8/2007 2:27:07 PM | | I'm starting to see the greys peak through the black. But, I'm starting to like the idea of the salt and pepper to compliment the rest of the indian spice that is me. Sorry, that was terrible.... | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/8/2007 3:00:52 PM | Salt and pepper on a dark haired man can be very sexy. But it can't be straggly looking. Grey facial hair isn't sexy, IMO. I think it adds age, not character.
Grey/white hair on a female can be considered attractive to some. I've seen some older women with a flawless, beautiful face that can pull this off. Not all, probably few and far between. Grey hair for me is totally out of the question.

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/8/2007 3:10:46 PM | A couple of male friends are completely white, and they look better than if they were black-haired. I've gone a little bit pepper.
Just my $0.02 | |

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/9/2007 1:33:09 PM | | I think a touch of grey hair on a man is very sexy. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/9/2007 11:24:48 PM | | Personally I prefer to fight father time as long as possible... but there comes a time when you just have to let nature take its course. Its knowing when to do so-- some men actually look much more debonair and attractive with a touch of grey-- it adds something to their look and mature appeal..... | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/20/2007 9:44:30 PM | This is a very interesting topic for me... I started going gray in my early twenties, so I've had a lot of time to come to terms with it. Later on, the hardest part was seeing my father with a full head of hair (no gray at all) well into his late fifties.
As a friend at work told me, gray hair is better than no hair (no argument there). So the colour of my hair, has not been an issue for me for many years. Of course I would love to have been like my father, but you are who you are...
Instead, I'll concentrate on other areas of my life... It's very interesting though to read the views of others on this topic. R...

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 3:47:36 AM | Nothing sexier then a man with the "Salt and Pepper" look,.....very appealing in my eyes,...lol...It is a shame that some men are so vain and try to hide this!!!!!
Some men start to get small patches at their temples while others get a highlighting effect,...regardless of the patterning I think it looks "HOT" and makes them look SEXY!!!!!!!,...
Woooooooooo Hoooooooooo

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 7:16:03 AM | Nothing wrong with grey hair .....ask any bald guy. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 10:53:12 AM | I'm proud of the grey I have. I earned every strand of it and then some. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 2:31:45 PM | | okay a bit of my dating history first: as a teen and man in my early 20's..no dates at all..in my late 20's I dated woman in their early 20's-early 30's. I am 35 years old..looked in the mirror yesterday and noticed a few grey hairs on my head. The last 5 years females 20-26 seem to be attracted to me...wonder if my grey hair would hange that? | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 7:17:23 PM | I am 46 with no grey hair at all and I don`t find grey hair particularly attractive on a woman and I think most women don`t like it on themselves because the vast majority of women around my age do not show their grey and have it colored at any and all costs.
Peace | |

| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/21/2007 10:00:01 PM | I think gray hair is heinous. It's awful. It's a sign of death. As soon as a single strand sprouts, the person possessing same should be put out to pasture. Or at the very least be asked to hand in his driver's license and eat at on a tv tray out in the living room at xmas.
One more stupid question, and this not very big brained guy with a not very big expanse of personal experience is gonna 'splode.
I've got a new theory I'm gonna float, not sure yet if it can sustain a magazine article, or even a cultural study book, or maybe even a Larry King appearance-
That people don't fall in love any more on account a they're jes too stupid ta.
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/22/2007 10:54:38 AM | | A little grey is ok. Heck, grey hair is better than no hair. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/22/2007 11:14:10 AM | Personally I'd have a head full of grey hair.
I could always dye it!
My picture provides ample explanation!!!................LOL
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/22/2007 4:09:27 PM | | Well.. I've never actually plucked a hair out.. but it seems lately they're all falling out.. the top of my head has begun to thin.. makes me a bit conscious of shaving it, as I usually do each year.. BUT on the topic of grey hair.. never really considered it on the opposite sex.. but as for myself I began to notice them on my head when I was 13.. and they just seem to be coming in more now as I am just over the 30 line. | |
|
| A Touch of Grey Posted: 7/23/2007 3:00:24 AM | | Grey is lovely on a good haircut... salt n pepper is nice too... | |
