| Profile deleted or login issue ?
Posted: 11/2/2007 1:20:14 AM | I had the same thing happen to me today. I started using the site yesterday and was having lots of fun with it. Then all of a sudden sometime tonight I couldn't login. I looked for my username and it seemed to no longer exist. The page stated that it might be some technical thing like browser security or a cookie problem but I pretty sure thats not it.
Is it possible to have a profile deleted with zero warning? I read as much as I could on this and didn't see anything I did wrong. I spent quit a bit time on my profile and poof its gone :(
Is there anything I can do? The username was ShowerBee, but note that I recreated a new one an hour ago with the same name. Thanks for any help. | |

I was on the site for 6 months with no problems and then all of a sudden bingo! im deleted and tried again deleted then again deleted???? I wrote to the admin and no reply! not very professional. Im on another site which ive been on for 4 years and never encountered this kind of problem and if you have a problem you can talk to staff and sort it out.
I dont think quoting figures is the answer the fact is its happening so resolve the issues would be a better solution as there obviously is one!

I could only see my cousins when she viewed. Is there an administer you can contact to fix this problem? I would like to see all profiles in my area. I've been having the same problem as quite a few people here with my profile getting deleted.
I was on POF a few years ago but have since deleted the account.. I signed up yesterday all was well... flirting fun.. but today i had the "cookies" log in error.. I was having issues with my browser (both IE and firefox crashing and was flipping between the two.. ) .. I eventually tried to use the resend password button which said my email was no longer registered.
I recreated the profile a few times with no luck... even different emails.. which i read from this is pointless. .. :) I emailed admin and tried to email some moderators but since the profile kept getting deleted i dont know if anyone got it...
Im pretty sure my IP has been banned :( I live alone so it must be something i've done..
Can someone please let me know what i did or what has happened? I just wanna date and certainly didnt think i was breaking any rules! :D | |

You're about me section is completely blank except for a song. Could explain why you're profile is being deleted. Are you by any chance putting a string of numbers in your about me section? | |

No. It just won't save and/or complete the Profile.
I have the exact same issue, it's extremely frustrating that my profile goes away after just 10-20 minutes after I put it.

| It's just a matter of waiting for the Admin to respond and explain to you exactly "Why" it works in a Way he has desinged it. In the meantime you can safely assume it doesn't work that way because it doesn't. |

Posted: 5/6/2008 11:03:01 AM | i keep trying to create a profile but like the past few people it gets deleted after just a little amount of time. i know it's not auto delete or using anything i'm not suppossed to. i had a profile here a year or so ago i deleted and cut and pasted the exact same one back up 2 days ago with the same pictures and all. less then an hour later it goes bye bye. i do it all over again same user name and password as the previous attempt and the same thing happens. now if it was auto delete or i did something wrong the username would still be taken and it's not. i tried several different user names, a couple different email addresses and each and every single time it disappears just as the last ones had. i even went to yahoo and created an entirely new email just to make sure it wasn't my old emails causing it.
second issue here, i've writen email after email to the admins and have yet to get a response to this problem. so yeah hopefully this profile doesn;t go away before i manage to get this typed. i'd really like to know what the issue is..... | |

First of all, your Main Image is not in Compliance with Image Upload Requirements.
so yeah hopefully this profile doesn;t go away before i manage to get this typed. i'd really like to know what the issue is.....

I have tried many times in the past to change my account name, tried the advice in the forum, tried on diff pooters, all to no avail.
I generally thought ... lifes too short ... but hey I tried again, failed again. Set up a new profile, put lots of effort into it ... wrote some messages, bang its gone, disappeared, ah well try again and again, keep trying, keep being deleted.
Tried it from work pc, tried it from home.
One possibility is that its identified as being from the same person, the same IP. Well this is true, but i think i still have an old profile from last time i was on ... thats still on so why would a new one be deleted straight away?
In theory two or more people sharing the same pc could have different id's on pof, so would pof delete all other id's over and above one person persistently?
My intention was (as I couldnt change the name) to create a new one then abandon / delete the old one ... but as it gets deleted, i would find this a risky business.
The new id is not offensive, its contains no nudity
So, whats occuring, what should I do? | |
