| Who likes PC games mmorpg's and do you think having a partner into that stuff lead to love Posted: 11/13/2007 6:25:33 AM | I have two 70's and an army of alts.
Yea i cannot imagine having a girlfriend again that constantly nagged me about my various forms of escapism. I like sharing a fantasy world with my partner, its a significant part of our relationship. Hahaha a friend of mine is getting married to his long time wow partner next week, I am seriously contemplating transferring my hordie so i can crash the wedding in appropriate style muahhaha.
Yea i am only posting as you know because i am bored waiting for the Tuesday downtime he he.
Pretty stoked about the latest patch.

| Who likes PC games mmorpg's and do you think having a partner into that stuff lead to love Posted: 11/16/2007 3:35:43 PM | two friends i met on an online game are getting married soon.
i met her first shortly after she met him (ingame i mean)
after they realised they was in love, she went to stay with him in the house he was living in in europe. so they lived together while she was on holiday there, got to know each other.. made plans to get married... she went back to america, then apparantly she met someone else ingame who lived close to her in america... i dont know to what extent.. but according to both her and him, she had an "affair" of sorts with this new friend from ingame. so they split up for a few months, then a few months later they "kissed and made up" settled their differances then i think she went to live with him for a month again.. then he came to the US for the last 3 months and they was living together there until like a week ago...
and as i say, they soon plan to be getting married (or that was the last i heard)
also on another game.. a text based broswer strategy game.. i had a friend from europe, she was about 40... and she also met someone from america... (Shortly before i quit that game). a while after i quit i came back to the game and asked what happened to my old friends.. and apparantly my female friend from europe had moved to america and gotten married to that guy she met on the game..
SO.. yes... i would say based on both those circumstances that partners into that stuff can lead to love...
i think maybe i misunderstood the OP's question a bit but i still ended at a relevent answer im sure :)

| Who likes PC games mmorpg's and do you think having a partner into that stuff lead to love Posted: 11/18/2007 4:38:28 AM | I'm a gamer as well, and I whole heartedly agree that having a signifigant other that understands the passion for the game is awesome. I've also seen how close my friends who's girlfriends, wifes, boyfriends, and husbands are when they understand the concepts and passion involved, though they tend to play together and raid together. Making the comment of "Not tonight honey, I have a raid." a completely moot point.
So any gamer chicks out there interested? Hehe, it's a dating site after all I thought I would throw it out there.

I'm an old EQ'er, WoW, DAoC, and CoH (beta.. my toon was even one of the featured char's in the comic book if that doesn't geek me) I had found romance in EQ, seen people get married and I've also seen the game world destroy quite a few marriages/relationships.
I said all along that the mmorpg's is the best way to develop feelings for someone online. Its shared interest, "doing" things together, and pure communication. Due to life changes, I have stepped out of the gaming world. Alot of fun times and I miss it and the good friends made there.

I went through the various progressions of gaming including mmorpgs and found the more high-tech it became...the more likely I was to never have a real life again. :)
Now I only play a random boardgame or the Sims if I'm feeling the need to play god. Personally I found it nearly impossible to choose reading literature over epic adventuring while munching on cheetos. So I got rid of the epic adventure and bought more books. *lol* Some people come with a feature that helps them restrict their gaming time. I'm not one of them. :)
I agree its important to find an SO that will understand your interests, even if they don't share them. Although I'm no longer part of that world, I am fine with a guy who plays video games a couple of hours per week. I'll even happily join in. Anymore than that and I start to get twitchy. I understand and appreciate the lifestyle: I just don't want to be a part of it to that extent again.

Jennae Kynn, Demyss, Andryss... I chose which character to play based on what kind of mood I was in. Jennae - The boss all business. Demyss - Evil. Andryss- Demyss' twin. Sweetness and light. Wouldn't say sh1it if her mouth was full of it. She liked taming sh1it and then making it kill for her. Eventually she had tamed dragons.
Can you tell I was one of those geeky roleplayers?
Ultima Online ate up almost 4 years. I ran a big war guild (and the forums to go with) on the Pacific shard and had all ages from 15 to almost 60. People from other guilds were always trying to kill me, and my guild was always trying to keep me alive. Could not have the dreaded screenshots of me doing a faceplant posted on the rival guild's websites!!
And... I dated two other gamers during that time.
You hang out online all night long, you're working together to make things happen... You learn a LOT about how they are as a person. Do they get frustrated/mad easily? How do they talk to other people...
I quit and most of my old guildies play WoW now and always hound me to join... But no.
I have tasted the crack... I must not let the crack win!!!
but... I have to say...
OTW FTW!!! RAWR!!! | |

From Zork on I fed my head til i realized that what i can do here has greater meaning.. at least thats what my kids swore before they lost themselves in Sims .. damn was i tricked?
