| Canadian / American relationships.. can it work??? Posted: 1/5/2006 2:49:43 PM | | I think that there is a stigma about Canada, and how "far away" it is... I think that any distance can be covered with the right person... If you can handle the distance... and know that eventually someone is going to have to make some decisions... well than yes I think it can work... but again I state it is all about maturity.. | |

If you try having a relationship with someone who isn't mature to begin with, it probably won't work so well if you live in the same town. What makes you think it will work if there's 1,277 miles between you?

People living as close to the border as we do, I don't see it as in issue. Dating someone from Ontario would work for me a lot easier than dating someone from Virginia would.

| Canadian / American relationships.. can it work??? Posted: 1/5/2006 5:36:11 PM | Well I think it will work if both parties are working hard on it There is also have to be some basic fundamental understandings and trust
I find Long distance relationships are hard to maintain form the simple fact that the physical contact is not there (not to say when I type physical it means booty) What I mean is the lack of general conversation and hanging out

| Canadian / American relationships.. can it work??? Posted: 1/6/2006 3:43:00 AM | r, half of America endures the cold during winter. It's no different here than it is in many of the States. Not my half, buddy; I live in the DEEP south, about an hour away from the Gulf of Mexico. We don't clebrate Winter here; we celebrate Yankees freezing to death:) And if you can talk one of our women into moving up there, don't count on her leaving the house to get firewood; the only way you'll get her to go outside is set the house on fire | |

After I told him that it was headed to the Buffalo airport to pick up my gf he asked me why a Canadian would be dating an American...When I told him that I was keeping up foreign relations he didnt laugh...but he did wave me through...

My closest friend met a woman that lived in Portugal and last time I checked that is alot farther away than Canada. Yes they met online years ago and really liked each other. Guess what, they have been married for over 5 years now and have a son together so to answer your question, yes it can work.
People have to learn nowadays to give up things if they want things to work. People are very stubborn and do not want to just get up and move this is one of the main problems with people and their selfishness. Ask yourself one question, would you be willing to pick up and move far away for the right person in hopes of being happily married? If not then you have answered your very own question.

I know if I had the means, there are a few Canadian men that I would love to meet from here. Just judging from the emails that I receive, the majority of Canadian men seem to have more respect than our American men.
