Next thing I know I have four emails......which I cannot answer to unless I pay up for an account. Bots????????????? Have any of you had the same experience. I would hate to waste the cash.....and feel duped!

Posted: 2/10/2005 10:09:47 PM | Nope, if you read the fine print on joining, they will message you from a fake profile with an interest in you just to get you to join. When you join, that profile that messages you will not accept messages from anyone.

I imagine it is staffed by a few cyber-prostitutes who operate many profiles... AFF is legitimate from what I've seen, but I wouldn't exactly recommened it. | |

If you want to meet ladies there you have to go thru so much crap, and show up at the "get togethers" ( most of wich are couple oriented). I just ho hang in one of the chat rooms, not the zone rooms. I have met some nice people there, but like in a post on here, ther are alot of shallow people on there....thats my 2 cents. My honest opinion, find one site you like, stay there... you will be happier that way. | |

However, in my profile I stated that no attached men (in any way) need apply. Guess what I get: they are all married.............(well, except this one.....he seems nice.....still talks to me......we'll see......)
so, I am seriously thinking about cancelling my membership. Most of these people want only to cyber or hook up for a night.....That's not me, that's not what I am looking for.....and when I don't cyber or hook up with them, I never hear from them....oh well,....whatever
I went to aff thinking that maybe these people are a little more real, I mean if someone can post a picture of themselves like that, well what have they got to hide. I have tried several non adult oriented (meaning content, not age) dating sites and if I did meet someone, well let's just say I am not into superficial. I am not in any way saying that everyone who posted on those sites are superficial, just the ones I had the honor of meeting.
But I happy here at pof, even if I don't meet anyone, I like the forums and those I have met seem real.
Your decision is that, yours, but remember, you do not have to do something you don't want to do. There is no law saying that you have to meet with everyone who emails you or even return those emails. I return the emails I get from the married men telling them thanks but no thanks, read my profile again and yes, I am serious about it. I never hear from them again.

I proved they have multiple fake female accnts on there, I was also like some a paid member for months..
Sure I'm sure like other sites they might have some real people.. of course people have to sign up..
But Ask someone what is their favorite music, or do they have family here, or any general questions & get page of replies of nosense drabble (basically same from various girls) and never answering your questions... = fake automated bots... I'm a web developer myself... And sorry to say its terrible what they do...what a sorry way to earn money making people think they have all these people writing you...No wonder many women don't like online dating because they get 100's of emails from people that don't read, or are not what they are looking for or in my findings fake all together.. Sorry
In the search for decent dating websites, there are few, I've signed up on them all in the search looking to develop my own, but there are only a few decent ones, all have their own flaws in my opinion... at least POF has some good qualities that a good site needs  Its not the best by far, but it is free and offers decent amount of real people... and they actually reply back to your Q's here ;) | |

Its still the same as going out. Its all about fait whether you will meet someone that night. Was nothing but agravation for me  | |
