| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/6/2007 7:57:39 PM | Right now I have a 2001 Ram 1500 with the off road pkg, and I love it, a 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, as fast as a TA, and more luxury to boot, and an old Volare with 62,000 miles which I like because I haven't seen one around here ever.
In my opinion (by price that most could afford)
luxury car mid 70's-mid 80's Caddy Eldorado. truck would be a 97-01 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel sports car: Porsche 928 GTS muscle car: Buick Grand National

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/6/2007 8:01:15 PM | Just recently got to drive a Lombarghini Gallardo, 207 . Was a real rush , made my poor old family Grand Prix seem so inadequate afterwards !
The same guy who owns the lambo, also has a Nissan 350Z equipped with a Vortech supercharger, actually think it is more fun. ( Not the sound though, !) . Both are fantastic autombiles but even if I won the super bowl of lotteries , wouldnt buy them.
For me it would be the Aston Martin or the Ford GT for modern era. Other cars on my short list would be 64 Jag XKE , 67 Austin Healey, 70 Boss 302 ( blue), 50`s Dodge Power Wagon with the military specs and a 55 Buick Special.
Brit cars I find to be works of art, but for drivers am old school. Will never buy Jap, they are great cars sure but just lack any personality. Just prefer the v8 rumble anyday over the annoying whine from the jap cars.
Its the difference between like and love !

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/17/2007 7:55:13 PM | | Superperformance Coupe - its an updated reproduction of the car Shelby won with at Le Mans in the 60s. Think Shelby Cobra in a streamlined coupe. Fricking awesome. | |

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/19/2007 2:39:53 AM | No cars....Keep on truckin'!
My beast is a 56 Ford F100 and I love it. It's rough, tough, and rumbles. Looks pretty sweet too. Only drive it about 8 months of the year but I enjoy every minute. 289 4-barrel...done up. I have the occasional qualm about driving such a gas hungry animal but I manage to get over it..... It's all about smiles to the gallon, right?

My electrician at work is doing a 56 ford pick up as well. He has been working on it for about 5 years now, once every couple months, I drop by to check the progress . Wow, what a beauty it is starting to be! Its good to see you drive yours, not just a show truck.
Some body mentioned the Shelby coupe. Interesting story on the one that set the 24 hour speed record at the bonneille flats , same car that took LeMans in 64 (?) . It was onced owned by Phil Spector, and a mystery involving the death of a lady who had a court battle with him over the true owner of it. Not the first time Phil has been around" untimely death".

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/21/2007 7:42:24 PM | Am anxious for the Challenger and the new Camaro to come out .
Test drove the new Charger, nice, but didnt care for the vision , found the front posts seemed to get in the way at intersections, maybe just the way I sit . Challenger is based off the same platform as the Charger I think, so it might have the same problem for me.

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/21/2007 7:51:59 PM | '67 Mustang ...red of course....or that '69 GTO...some of you guys have really sweet tastes in classic cars...Beyond that, a '63 Stringray or a brand spankin' new Viper!!

| The Car you prefer driving: What is it? Posted: 11/22/2007 2:15:42 PM | Okay, I got another fave - the Porsche GT3. I like idea how they took a regular Porsche 911 and stripped out a lot of weight. Stuff like all the sound deadening material, the stereo, rear seats, sunroof, air-co and added more hp., 6 point harness They took it from being your basic rich guys car into an enthusiast car. | |
