And in order to get the Fat burning essentials from Green tea you have to drink at least 6 to 8 cups of it a day.

I have tried HydroxyCut and am currently taking it and it made me a bit sick at first but after two weeks of use I have noticed a difference and the side effects have gone away. I have more energy, eat less, and while the scale still says the same my clothes are becoming more baggy and I see and feel a difference in my body. I plan to keep using it and see what happens. When I loose all the weight I want to loose I will stop using it and I will just try my best to keep it on. But if that fails then I will go back on it for help.

I go to the gym and my trainer has recommended Hydroxcut. I haven't tried it yet, but before the other products, this was his recommendation......

AMEN JPitalian!! It's that simple formula that the diet industry has known for YEARS and fails instill it in the public because they would stand to lose BILLIONS.
--Less calories going in your mouth and more calories being burnt. PERIOD. End of story.
After years of going the fad diets, preboxed meals and pills route to which NOTHING was useful and the only thing it served to do was empty my wallet-- I decided to follow little ingenious yet simplistic formula.
I lost 45lbs over the past year and have not gained any back. I still have twenty lbs to go to meet my goal. Let me reiterate--to meet MY GOAL not to reach a normal weight.

Eldubu i did it by working out 1.5 hours/ 5-6 days a week at the gym. Cardio and weights.
That alone sped up my metabolism. I ate less calories and by process of elimination managed to also take in less saturated fats, and carbs. Drank plenty of fluids--mainly water and tea. No sodas. Cut down on caffeine.
Because you are eating less calories you will want to ensure that your cals are coming from healthy foods which means NO FAST FOOD JUNK. If you must have fast food from time to time eliminate the fries, sodas and sauces. Try to stick with salads and grilled chicken. Don't forget to take your vitamins and minerals.

Oh and for the record that old adage that you only have to work out 3X per week for about 30-40 minutes each time falls --shall we say--below expectations. Yeah if i was still in my 20s i could pull that off and lose weight.
I suspect that for majority of people ,though, half hour workouts would not do a whole lot.
If you have a really sluggish metabolism like i did and if you are a certain age to were your metabolic rate is slower the workouts should be at least an hour or more in length. And should include both Cardio and weights.

People buy into the media of diet pills and hence that is why they sell millions of them.

Like anything else, its calories in vs calories out. And don't forget, weight loss doesn't happen over night, nor in one week, its over a consistent period of time which will be rewarding if you keep up the hard work(good strict diet and exercise program).

^^^ The pills dont work for everyone. They do work for me (certain ones). When Metabolife with ephedrine was out I lost 50lbs in about 8 months on just that alone. With Hydroxycut without ephedrine I have lost some in just two weeks of taking it. I notice my clothes are more loose.

If they did not work for anyone they would be out of business or struggling.

Anybody who has ever dieted knows the first 10 pounds you lose is water. Its the pounds after the first 10 pounds that count. I laugh when I see all these magazines and tv commercials that say, I lost 8 pounds in my first week. Or like one of the magazines that says reece weatherspoon lost 12 pounds in one week, how did she do it? Duh, how hard is it to lose or gain 10 pounds of water? Most women do that once a month anyways

Its not complicated people, its simple math!! its cal intake vs cal output.

It takes 3500 cals to burn 1lb of fat, to cut weight (healthy) you should consume no more in calories per day than 12x your body weight. ie if you weigh 150lbs your calorie intake should not exceed 1800 cals per day. To maintain a lean muscle mass ensure you are consuming at least 1gm of protein for every lb of body weight.

The magic pills may give you short term weight loss, but proper diet & exercise will ensure a healthy weight loss and a happier life.

Its a lifestyle change.

I don't believe any drug is a good drug to use for "weight loss". If you really wanted to lose weight the best bet is to watch your nutrition. One of the number one medicine your body can use... be sure to write this down.... is exercise thats all you really need.

And with dieting, don't diet, because you just wont be able to change your ways by changing your lifestyle in the blink of an eye.. Be gradual about it, take small steps, first off watch what your eating, and most importantly EXERCISE

ANYWAYS

enough about diets...

just Exercise

oh...
ps

EXERCISE!!!

-that is all

The best diet is not bring on a diet. I hate that word and you should never use it. You have lost 23 pounds naturally by healthy eating, and exercise. With the knowledge of a good exercise routine and healthy eating that is all you need.

The fact of the matter is when you diet or you pills, then go off of these pills is reduces your metabolism to even less. So avoid the hype of the pills and go all natural!

first off, congrats on loosing weight in a healthy & realistic way. like all good things, lasting results will come to those who wait and aren't expecting a quick fix

the reason diets don't work:
when the body is subjected to calorific restrictions, it goes into survival/starvation mode, and becomes far more efficient at processing the food that goes in, in order to get the max amount of energy(i.e. calories) from that food. it can take a bit of time before this happens, which is why diets work for some people for a while. then the adaption kicks in & weight loss stops. no results = stop dieting. but by this time the body is more efficient, so gets every available calorie from the food, and since most people go straight from diet to their previous eating pattern, they pack on the pounds.

completely agree about the fast food. waste of time and money, never mind what it does to our health.

ANY exercise is better than none, but to burn bodyfat most effectively, you need to be working at between 60-80% of your max heart rate (max HR is 220-your age)for 30mins+ , and a mix of cardio & weights is best, like you say. anyone who's very overweight or has health/medical complications aways see a doctor before starting any fitness or gym program.

something i found useful was keeping a food diary. not counting calories(i think life's too short for that) but more about increasing your own awareness of what you're eating, and what you're doing at the time( for me this was eating full packs of crackers with loads of butter and drinking 2liters of milk while watching tv in the evening. it's easier to break the habits we pick up once we make a note of them.

peace

As I've posted in other threads, and echoed in many excellent posts above:

1. if you want to lose weight and keep it off long term, change your nutrition (not "diets"). Ignorance about nutrition, leading to eating crap, is nobody's fault but your own. It was certainly mine. Good nutrition, esp with Internet resources, is not hard to learn and practice, is not complicated, not technical, not calorie counting, not starvation, not obsessive, not bland.

2. If you want to get fit, exercise.

The two are of course related and complementary. But you can lose all the weight you want with only proper nutrition. Run a mild a caloric deficit daily until you reach your lean weight, which is about, I've read, 20% body fat for men, and 30% for women. I have my doubts about both of those as high.

150 lb woman with 30% body fat would have about 45 pounds of fat? GMAFB

Body fat >25% for men and >32% for women is considered Obese. 25%-31% for Women and 18%-25% for men is considered "Acceptable". Now you bodyu only requires essential body fat storage of 2-4% for men , and 10%-12% for women. I personally have never been able to get my body fat below 8% without looking like I was a Holocaust susrvivor.

generally only bodybuilders and sometimes elite endurance athletes get down to the really low percentages. remember a certain amount of fat is ESSENTIAL for insulating nerves from the surrounding tissue. if we don't have this layer around the nerves you start to see major problems in motor control.

I have some experience with hydroxy cut, I used it for 6 weeks last summer and I have a bottle now that a buddy gave to me for free...and there is a reason it was free, it does not work!

First you need to realize what these pills do. They increase your metabolism, and they do it primarily via Caffeine. So...DO NOT use them for cardio, you already putting your heart under stress, you do not want to kill yourself ( I learned that one the hard way) If your going to use it before weight lifting, make sure you have good ventilation and do not over do it, it will give you a good energy boost for heavier weights, but watch your pulse, its going to go way up! You WILL feel withdraw effects after use.

That being said, I used it for 6 weeks, I took a dose in the morning 30 minutes before my cardio, and again in the after noon 30 minutes before my weight training. I saw no great effect.

That being said I tried out Redline in the serup(another thermogenic known to be more powerfull) form and its kicking my butt....I've lost 20 pounds since the start of the year and it really gave me the energy I need to get through my giant sets...that being said, again I prolly could have lost the same weight with out using it at all.

My opinion? save your money, and if you already bought it, save the pill if you do not have time for coffee and pop 1 ( as thats what 1 pill is worth) thats all I'm using my hydroxycut pills for.

how many mg caffeine in hydroxycut?

Caffeine in the grocery store, NoDoz or Vitarin, is very cheap. The usual pill is 200 mg. How many more calories/day are burned due to adding caffeine?

All this "energy" stuff is such a scam.

"There's a sucker born every minute"

BigPharma has fooled a lot of people into believing there's a pill for every problem.

There is 300 mg in 1 dose (3 pills)

But that's only 1/4 of what ever they put in the pill.

The energy boost is very real when you are lifting weights though. You can literally lift more and longer with these supplements, hence you do get more out of your work out in the long run. BUT YOU STILL GET THE CRASH. and never bring up that 5 hour energy b12 shot thing...thats a joke. For the past 2 years I have been at the gym 6 days a week almost 2 hours a day...some day are just super hard to get motivated. so I may be sitting at my computer and take a dose of redline and a few minutes later I feel a bit of a rush, so I'm ready to go use it at the gym and work it off. Thats what I get out of it any way.

waste of money and being a stimulant its addictive with yielding only "temporary results." Do it natural with a good nutrition plan and weight training regimen along with 2-3 days of cardio(high intensity interval training, google it).

There is no secret to weight loss. All that is need is commitment to your program and setting new goals every few months. And above all, do not go by the weight scale, go by bodyfat every couple months to gauge your progress. Weight on a scale doesn't matter, overall body fat does.
