"I don't want baggage, or anyone who doesn't have a picture (and I fes up, I did that once!), and I really don't want....", that's a turn off. Geez, we all have baggage, it just depends how you pack it...
Why not start with what you DO want (if you know..some people don't) and throw a positive swing on it? There are certain things that people REALLY don't want, granted, but yes, if you click on every filter available, then don't go posting a thread that nobody is contacting you. | |

Posted: 1/9/2006 10:02:32 PM | In pictures . . . nudity, blocking out what is obviously their ex (doesn't everyone have access to a digicam these days???), someone who looks years older than they say they are - 'cause either they lied about their age or they're hard core partiers and are wearing it on their face.

A long string of negative comments either about themselves or who they are seeking
a lack of efort in the profile-if you don't tell me anything how would i know to be interested or not
"prefer not to say"
drugs
drinking 3+ times / week
smoking
And of course the stuff that doesn't work for me may work very well for someone else so you may be able to completely ignore eveything I just wrote and find exactly what you are looking for. | |

Why don't people put down their jobs? I notice a lot of guys don't. Its nice to see what a person does for a living - might be another thing you would have in common...
And guys that put 'prefer not to say' in the do you have children spot. If you are not saying - then 99% you do - and why not be proud you are a father - unless you are a deadbeat dad. | |

*side note* if your worried about people taking your beer at parties/get-togethers/ october fests...just do what i do...take some pre-printed masking tape labels along with you that read

to look at the picture that is not you...
i probably wouldn't even read the profile.
it goes both ways...we wish to remain anona...anonam.....hidden!...but we want people to see usfor who we really are....
and that conflict within ourselves can also carry over to 'the one'...as she or he just keeps on clcking through pictures.

I'm on people's fav's and I haven't spoken to most of them! I don't know why men add me but never send me a message - what's up with that?
I don't know about those other people, but I've recetly started using that favorites feature, but the problem is if you don't come here too often, the emails are deleted out of you outbox, then you cannot remember if you've spoken with them...
I know for a fact one of the people who put me on their list, seemed nice but wasn't interested in sharing a pic with me...

...I posted that I am average. But I know what you mean. I have seen other profiles where even the men say they are average, but can be as big as John Goodman. I think its a self concious issue. I like to say I am average...

I actually changed my 'average' to fit, because I felt selecting average was lumpin me in with people often 50% bigger than me... yikes... there's a possible perception issue...

but for my take,
If you read my profile it should become apparent that non-christians aren't high on the priority list...
I share a common opinion on the topic of drugs, and smoking... and often cats will make me pass (fierce alergies)... and any abundance of skin has me thinking she might not have the same intentions as me...
Although I have nothing against women with children, I'm hesitant to contact them, because at my age they're normally fairly young, and I wouldn't want to potentially contribute any instability in the kids lives...
But finding a "Christian" gal who doesn't do drugs, and doesn't smoke is hard enough of a task to begin with!! (it's a good thing I'm not to concernedd with meeting someone in the immediate future!) | |
