HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE ATTENED!!!! it was a great success the PoFers donated a total of $1500 (cover charge and halfers draw)! WOW it was a great donation!
Thanks to Cwolfy for being my Partner in Crime and CuriousG for selling the 50/50 tickets! A specail thanks to TBF who made our "delivery" to the Variety of Hearts (our very own Super Hero!) and posted a challenge to all other clubs and Singles Groups! Many hugs and kisses and all that good stuff!
I met a TON of newbies and saw many wonderfully dear friends - thank you for coming out to have a fabulous time and supporting the Variety of Hearts! More hugs and smooches to all of you! So glad I met some that are frequent posters but never met in RL.
To those that had to wait in line: it is unfortunate that some had to wait outside.. but it wasnt because the line up was of the "public"... the line up was ALL PoFers wanting to get in!!! and of course as we all know, especaily those that frequent the clubs/bars/pubs etc. there are specific safety codes regarding the # of ppl that the place can hold... and the later the evening the greater chance there could be a wait time.
Its just common sense.
For those being "frisked" ... dont ya just feel special????

I met alot of new awesome new peaople and alot of funny new people but all and all I had a great time I finally got home and crashed about 5:30 AM after dropping of the people that caught rides with me etc... You Island girls were awsome but there were a lot of ladies signed up that I wanted to meet that I didnt see there ..... maybe next time or you were hiding from me lol

in fact, i didnt sleep the night before, either!
so, i was a little uncertain while there as to whether i should have come at all, or twas better to have stayed and slept.
i must say that i am a little disapointed that the planners of this event didnt attempt to greet the new faces- particularly those of us who unexpectedly developed stage fright.
otoh- i did meet a couple young ladies of my age i would like to meet again. | |

( ALSO I MUST SAY THE PLANNERS SPEND THEIR OWN TIME AND MONEY TO DECORATE FOR THESES PARTIES ) There was a couple hundred people who attend theses events... I am sure that you saw the planners pics on the site so what stopped you from saying Hi to them and introducing yourself to them... There was a about 75 Newbies and I am sure that both of the planners could hardly remember everyone that they spoke with last night !!!!! Sorry that you were upset ..but don't let that stop you from having a good time !!! Don't be shy...... !!!!

Once again, had a blast with the mainland fish.... and will definitely be coming to more events in the future!!!
Nice to see cwolfy didn't go home alone.....am sure he is happy to have her back again. | |

Thats unfortunate that you were disappointed - but to be fair we, the organizers (Cwolfy and myself) did set this up as an event for ppl to meet up, whether it be old friends or to meet someone new. We did organize 2 games to make things easier to mingle for those that are shy. They were explained multiple times in the threads. There was even the "Adoptee Program" for those who were newbies and wanted some regs to do some intro's around that night - making things a little easier. This was posted multiple times as well. And really, how would we know if you "unexpectedly developed stage fright"? Do we read minds now as well? We were definitely not there as "hand-holders", you make the night as you wanted it to be.
From talking with others it seemed the majority (there was 220 PoFers there!) had a great time - which we are very happy. Some didnt for one reason or another. Thats a given in any event. Some blame their "bad time" on other things rather than looking at themselves for why that happened. Am I being to harsh? maybe so. But dont blame the organisers if you didnt meet us or others because you were "shy"... we did our best to satisfy what PoFers asked for. Also, take into consideration this is planned out of our own personal time and dollars out of our own pocket. We do not get reimbursed.
I cant speak for Cwolfy but Besides chatting to my friends I also chatted to many newbies, whether I made the initial contact or they came up to me. I also had an adoptee which I couldnt find for the evening... which was a dispointment for me. I was looking forward to meeting him.
Anyways, I had a fabulous time meeting everyone I did - I always wish I would have met more PoFers at the functions but there is such limited time as well.
Again to all those that came THANK YOU FOR COMING OUT AND SUPPORTING THE VARIETY OF HEARTS! | |

Very strange to see a face and remember one of their posts! hehehe Oh and yes, I was there, just not wearing my hat!!!! INCOGNITO!!! hehehe It felt so good to dance again even if it was on only one tile! Boy there were more people in there than Ive seen around town in weeks Im sure! Happy Valentines day all!!
