| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 1/29/2005 3:27:26 AM | Incinerated? Never you!!! My flames are not for those so true I will keep them for the knaves And maybe for the Knights so brave If they ever come back here I really hope they re-appear
What use is a Dragon, born of the Sun Without a Knight to give him FUN??? So come on Knights and show your wit I need a fight to keep me fit

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 1/29/2005 7:57:56 PM | Yes you can hear me in the darkness, The music of my wings The glimmer in the moonlight thats speaks of far off things.
And as the dawn grows closer Look to the Morning Star And watch my sillouette grow faint For I am going far
I'm travelling to your memories To where it all began The saga that continues Of Dragonkind and Man
In the dead, cold hours of night Will you awaken from a dream? For this Dragon is your conscience And much more more than he seems
So I will go away for now And wait for the twilight Just remember I am always there Not like these carefree Knights

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 1/29/2005 8:12:42 PM | Phoenix
no knights, no amour suits no tools of their trade swords nor shields can anticipate, wraths of abundance for knights on quests will meet, thier demise
for fools, dare approach one, made of fire and brimstone born in earth's bowels forged of hellish, lava sea's never dies, only rebirths gives ways to everlasting eternal lives only to come back at vengence door to all, who may oppose
myths before it nor post sea beasts, in ocean's deep dragons, with breathe of fire can lay claim, to all worlds desires
for the phoenix, is neither flesh nor substance one, that cannot be touched hotter than, the hottest of suns so no one, is to bother
man nor beast demi god or myth can present, challenge proper for phoenix, is everlasting
the day phoenix, exinquishes and grows cold, his heart and he is, no more by means, beyond mortal men this day, we all shall perish for the phoenix, burns deep within us all...

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 1/29/2005 11:04:34 PM | Ah Phoenix... You have come at last It's so good to see you here Far from your home, in desert bleak A place that has no cheer
The glory of your red and gold brings memory to my mind Been centuries since I have seen Another of your kind
Look toward the sun that gave you life And as it sets you'll see A shimmer in the changing light The shimmer will be me
Then we will talk of what has been And what may come to be Then I'll return back to my cave And you back to your tree

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 1/30/2005 12:28:09 PM | two dragon meet one made of fire the other flesh both mystical in their own ways honorable by lifes designs up holding strength for these two, are we challenging all, who dare seek us out
i shined my fiery light acting as beacon, for one who dwells in mysts of darkness and moon for magice orbs, can only shine a certain distance, in minds eye's but suns rays, encomass all
so are we, two of a pair you commanding, the moonlit skies while i, light the way for far off eye's
acting too forge, thru trials of fire anyone seeking, the truth whether inside or outward for those, who desire
i cherish the days when we can, finally seek equal understanding, a balance of us too
till then, our meeting has only, begun for there will be more to speak of and post
you shimmering, silhouette is welcome to my domain whenever you seem fit to speak, again
for we have many, similarities tis true for one made of brimstone and the other, be magic too
all be it some dragons, be lost in mind others, know with time for only the phoenix can light the way, tis true for lifes experiences are forged within me too
i see and know of things, present and past so, knowing what will be is a pretty easy task
for lifes cycles, go round and round infinity, a must its true
a circle in life's experiences carefully placed never to return to strife for me and you
a mechanism, if you will too avoid, past mistakes allowing us all, to start a new a rebirth, to take place
for the phoenix is here too shine, on lifes issues for some, who'll listen to pave the way
for others, who don't will forevermore, turn eye's blind never knowing, happier times nor destiny's, waiting to be fulfilled

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/4/2005 3:08:36 PM | | I have to say I much enjoyed Dragonn, Longte and Gerry. This knight has been badly wounded but will survive. No not physical just in heart. Most likely won't be on much but will check in now and then with a few lyrics. | |

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/4/2005 4:26:19 PM | Black Knight, please don't dismay for we are all, here the same
for dragons, made of flesh or fire cannot be without knight's, with so much, honor
there stands, many more battles, for you for us, a challenge or two
Knight's code, honor be for it's your chivalry, that binds you too us, you see?
As earth, wind and fire we Coexist, for each other
for dragons need slaying still and knight's, who give their lives for chilvary, sake only competes, the circle we call life
new beginning, come at every end cyles, a must for infinity for death, allows rebirth for our and your, kind
brave Black Knight this day, all dragons bow, to one as brave as you in honor and respect
so rest up, we all look forward too your next galant, challenge return someday, you must for dragons, need slaying and you, chilvary ever more

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/4/2005 5:52:25 PM | So Black Knight you have returned if only to drop in A shame about your injury Dont let the **stards win An injury to body is easy to repair But injury to spirit can lead you to despair
Maybe we are enemies Or so the legends say But this Dragon is here for you each and every day
Good Luck and come back soon

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/5/2005 7:31:35 PM | Sir! if you have no objection id like give my own reflection. You have great way with words . wish i had half your talent. Anyway....
Dragons breathe the fire of passion, back in days of long ago. Knights would die for ladies honer,That's the way there love they showed. Ladies dressed in fancy dresses, trying not to show too much. hopeing that they would be noticed. dreaming of there lovers touch.
Knights would come in all there splender,Showing ladies they were brave. Vowing they'd be their proctectors, promiseing to be their slaves.
Women think thats so romantic, for the knights to act that way. But they don't really understand. We still act that way today.
The way we think , and all our actions, are because of ladies fair, Thats the reason we take chances, to make sure the ladies know we care.
It's the same as it was back in those days, We prove to ladies that were brave, Then they put there spell upon us, And we become the ladies slaves.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/5/2005 9:01:10 PM | This sounds morbid but it is allegoric like many of my other poems. The meaning lies deeper.
From Frozen Chambers
Whistling wind on a haunting winters night The pathway covered by the swirling white The tree limbs breaking from the bitter cold Walking blindly as the chill takes its hold No choice but to challenge the blizzard's fight
Alone and confused in life's mindless chain Soul and essence bitten by frosts pain Thrashing wind is pushing into the back Left for lost when drifting snow hides each track The path abandoned to seek clear terrain
The sudden cracking sound below the feet Quickly falling underneath the ice sheet The lake swallows the last breath to life's war Body and soul is frozen to the core Captured in thick ice leaving no retreat
The screams left unheard stricken by this fate Not able to move in cryonic state Feeling alone as this numbness runs deep Time seems to be passing to a dark sleep Lest ice is broken it shall be too late
While trees on shore caught in their own demise The lake silences all desperate cries Falling snow buries any steps trodden Ice imprisons left to be forgotten The blank staring face before this life dies
Crashing through solid ice clenched fists dive Pulling from the depths this soul not alive Freeing from frozen chambers before lost Attempting to save risking at all cost Breathing deep life giving breaths that revive.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/6/2005 12:23:54 PM | Power Of Words
Freedom must first come from within our soul By yielding to the voice that makes us whole
One soul thirsts by the mountain stream retreat Yet anothers quenched in the desert heat
The power of words fulfills those who hear Others left empty turning a dull ear
Some expressions impart a thousand thoughts Soothing our dreams and untieing knots
But the words from a tongue that never rests Shed no light and the ramblings meaningless.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/6/2005 12:25:21 PM | The one who claims the future and spreads details to entertain Leads us astray for no one knows the future for certain
When people make plans solely on such foolish premises Their conclusions bring forth failure, shame and utter madness
History and current habits best predict tomorrow So concentrate on today, time’s not something to borrow
Prepare for each day but stop and enjoy the adventure As life sets the stage to whatever comes of the future

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/6/2005 8:11:29 PM | I especially like the last line "Listen not! To Others Fears, For they "Live" d*mned"
I wish i could come up with your words to convey my ideas. If there is one thing i cherish most its freedom and you spell out how not to get trapped. I worked with youth for over 10 years before working with incarcerated adults. I know what you mean about not wanting to see young people hurt. I hate abuse in whatever form. The poem called when the night falls was regarding abuse. The frozen chamber is about life in general when the soul becomes lost, numb and detached from pain til it just dies. Only the breath of life from another can revive new life.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/7/2005 2:50:46 AM | Remember this line.
A sudden screaming wind casts forth its vengeance Shoving you through briers with no resistance Pounding you to the ground as your clothes are torn The moon’s back is turned the trees bristle and scorn
This poem was written regarding someone neglected and abused from family and then abused by their husband. Completely broken not feeling anyone sincerely cared.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/7/2005 3:27:03 PM | She is trying to survive. I believe in her. She has a tough road. I haven't heard from her since Christmas. I can only include her in my prayers. She has been a soul sister and good counselor as well.
Would trusting again be insane This earth has offered its last lie Numb to the world detached from pain The well of the tear ducts run dry
Every angry drop will spill Then forward away from dispair Though the wounds of the soul shall heal The scars will forever be there.

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/7/2005 3:32:51 PM | In the morning calm under a gray sky The bald eagle swoops with a shrieking cry No enemy is hidden from its sight All the land reveres its majestic might.
Life below naive to drawing unrest The eagle senses the coming tempest It ascends to a higher altitude Waiting for westerly steams to intrude
Setting its wings as the storm rages near Winds lift it above this fury of fear As the pouring outburst casts forth its wrath The eagle glides over its vicious path
Faced by vengeance and its destructive roar Rising above where no others will soar This king of air shall not cower or doubt Patiently biding riding the storm out
|
| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/7/2005 6:29:59 PM | So mount up with wings like the eagles spread For when the storms of life are just ahead Scale over with the wind without restraint Fly and not grow weary, glide and not faint. | |

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/7/2005 7:42:32 PM | The eagles plight , lost in light , full in flight Tonight he soars amongst those who fight Elevating to the heavens , to show his bright feathers He is relaxed in his element , as he roams all weathers Windy reliance , blowing in an alliance the path of endevour This bird left the nest , to learn himself again Where he is , no idea my friend

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/8/2005 5:17:06 PM | "Tiny eaglet's"
Eagles nest, sitting up high purched,on mountains ledge
tiny eaglet's, mothers pride spreading thier wings as though, too fly
stretching back, catching the win in tiny feathers, that be inate feeling, within small bodies as though, too soar free
nudging proud, mother fly's, first to show how it's, done while fledging tiny eaglet's instinctively know, somehow
slowly fluttering, eaglet wings climbing to nest's, edge peering over, from great hieght's eager to take, life's first test
first one, then two more rapidly flapping, wings too soar
some dive, while others fall later taking flight a challenge, for them all
seeking the win which lifts, them high instincts, taking over enabling them, to fly
later tiny eaglet's return, back to nest having, past thier test
for later, they will be full grown themselves teaching their own, later some other time

| Chivalry defined from the Round Table Posted: 2/10/2005 6:55:11 PM | Thank you Danny and Phoenix for posting some superb words. Kind of makes me want to be an eagle for a few hours. Of course i found this next song written by iron maiden about a man trying to fly like an eagle. It gives another perspective should we get too cocky and place faith in foolish things.
Iron Maiden - Flight Of Icarus ================================
Adrian Smith/Bruce Dickinson
As the sun breaks, above the ground, An old man stands on the hill, As the ground warms, to the first rays of light A birdsong shatters the still.
His eyes are ablaze, See the madman in his gaze.
Fly, on your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun, On your way, like an eagle, Fly and touch the sun.
Now the crowd breaks and a young boy appears Looks the old man in the eye As he spreads his wings and shouts at the crowd In the name of God my father I fly.
His eyes seem so glazed As he flies on the wings of a dream, Now he knows his father betrayed Now his wings turn to ashes to ashes his grave.
Fly, on your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun,
On your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun.
