| what part of the rock you from Posted: 3/29/2007 1:47:48 AM | Let's see....born in Burin, lived in Cannings Cove, Bloomfield, Musgravetown, Frederickton, NB, Sin John's (twice so far and moving there again in the next year or so), Bunyan's Cove, Toronto, Gin Cove (yes that's on the rock!), the Ottawa valley (never doing THAT again!), and now Clarenville. Generally say I'm from Musgravetown, that's where I spent most of my formative years, so blame that crowd for how I turned out. | |

| what part of the rock you from Posted: 3/30/2007 3:57:46 AM | This is tres cool! I've been out of Musgravetown for a long time, but my friend and I have rediscovered The Bayview and frequent it on Saturday nights whenever possible. I love running into old class mates.
When did you live there? Must have been after I left, cause Farmers Field night wasn't invented when I lived there (until 1980).

| what part of the rock you from Posted: 4/13/2007 5:38:31 AM | CBS originally (how it has changed out that way since I've left!!).
I've lived in Corner Brook for 7 years and Central for 5.
Facebook is a great way to reconnect with old school buddies! In the past week it is amazing just how many people I've met that I haven't heard from in YEARS!

| what part of the rock you from Posted: 5/5/2007 5:39:42 PM | I'm from Avondale originally, out near Holyrood. But I've also lived in Kilbride, Mount Pearl & even Ontario for a year.
I spent the 1st 10 years of my life living on a hill with my parents & sister, until we moved into an apartment above my grandparents' old house on Tricco's Road. We went from there to Kilbride, then back to my grandparents' upper apartment, then back to Kilbride, then Mount Pearl, then I was on my own in the downtown area & have been jumping around a bit since, finally having settled here on Charlton Street about a year ago.

| what part of the rock you from Posted: 5/23/2007 1:23:58 PM | My ex-Husband's family are from Glovertown, near Gambo. His Grandfather lived on Bragg's Island, out in the bay, and after most of his Sons were born the family was among those which Joey Smallwood moved in to the mainland from the out ports.
Does anyone here remember Watson Lane? Or his Wife, Audrey? He was the high school principal and she was the town librarian. Their children; Peter, Alexandra, Andre & Jillian attended school in Glovertown for a time, but the entire family lived many years in Churchill Falls, Lab. as well.
I'd love to connect with anybody from that area who might know the family. I loved the town, and would go back in a second if I had the chance to do so. I remember that Watson was good friends with a fellow by the name of Gerry Cheeks( I think) and his good wife, Ollie.
I guess you could say I'm a NFLD wannabe!
