| Would you marry someone just because they are rich ? Posted: 2/5/2006 5:43:36 PM | OF course. Loveless has it right. I would not have a loveless marriage with some dude just because he had money. Earlier I was poking fun at some of the quotes said earlier but I am not computer literate. I have no idea how to make quotes so perhaps the joke was taken seriously because the context wasn't quite there.
I like to joke around and sometimes put silly replies to posts.

the young woman replies:

then the old man asks:
would you have sex and marry me for a million dollars???????????????
the womans reply :

eventually (you get the picture) the old man asks ::

with much hesitation the young beautiful woman replies::

the old man has a very quick reply :::

Sorry, no amount of money could make me marry and be with someone that I dont love or even like. Ive been with people with money in the past, guess what, they have the same amount of issues that other people do, just on different scales and bigger bills. And shopping gets boring to me really quickly. Gonna shop for the rest of your life?? God it would be so pathetic if that was your only motivation in life. To me the only advantage to having a lot of money would be unlimited travel...that would be pretty cool and exciting, but to use/be with another human being that I dont like or even fancy for those finances...no couldn't do it. Im not good at acting

Run off with the credit cards to Miami, Madrid, the Bahamas (I"ll be gone by then!), all he'll find is a month old bill! Listen to the song "Sunspot Babe" and you'll recognize these reference points
Just leave the guy stranded like a dog out in the yard!!!
A big Bob Seger fan, just had to have a little fun here!!

Posted: 2/5/2006 8:02:51 PM | i'm still in my early 30's so i'm holding out for true love and all it's other benefits, if i'm 50 plus and still sleeping alone then it's a different story especially if i'm still living pay cheque to pay cheque. sad but true. and yes i'd be faithful- i'd never cheat on my money.

it's as easy for a rich man to fall in love with me as it is for a poor man...

Born to be Wild, Magic Carpet Ride--the best music in the galaxy!!! Ride with me baby till the end of the day! Now that's MUSIC!

I never married the man, but it is amazing what wealth an power can make a person into. It took me two years of planning to get away from him...and 5 years of being single before I got 'tricked' into dating again. (the trick was I only was interested in commitment phobic men because that way I had an excuse for being single....this one said he wanted to be single, free and all that, but didn't really mean it. He then waited a year for me to be ready to 'hang out sometime'...)
After my last relationship I now steer clear of anyone with too much money...yes employed and comfortable with savings for retirement, a new car every so often ect. Well, just when I was getting used to the idea of possibly having a boyfriend again he dropped the bomb, that he has a ton of money...and I know he thought/assumed that it would reassure me and sway me into a relationship, but it's had the opposite effect. Although I rationally know that he's still the same person, I'm now more suspicious and paranoid. I read too much into everything, and it's triggered my 'flight' response...
So no...I would NEVER marry someone for their wealth...

| Would you marry someone just because they are rich ? Posted: 2/6/2006 7:23:41 PM | | Nope...had many opportunities and relationships with wealthy men bc of the circle. However, I find that the men who lasted or made a deep impression on me are the ones who have modest means, but have the best characters, hearts of gold, great minds and great d*cks :) I don't judge someone by their wallet...I judge them by how they MAKE ME FEEL or how much they make ME want THEM. | |

"you can't buy love" Money won't buy happiness, but it's very funny; Have you ever tried to buy happiness without money?
I'm not surprised that women on this site claim they would not marry for money. That's easy for them to say. There's not a woman on this site that have ever had anywhere near the looks to marry for money, except maybe Adriana, and even she claims not to be good enough looking. Adriana's beautiful; however, I agree with her; when it comes to real looks, the kind of looks it takes to marry for money, she can't get her foot in the door and I'm not even in the ballpark. It is human nature to claim you don't want what you can't have. However, at least Adriana and I are honest about it.
Would they marry for money if they could. Yes everyone of them in a heartbeat. Some of them claim they could have married someone with money. But that's false. The guy may have earned a $200,000 a year. But that not money; just barely middle class.
