IT'S BETTER TO BE POOR AND BE HAPPY THAN IT IS TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE YOU. AND IF YOU DON'T LOVE SOMEONE. YOU SHOULD NOT MARRY THEM. THERE WOULD BE A BREAK UP. AND IT WOULD HURT. Posted: 2/7/2006 12:07:54 PM | You know a few years back after being on the dating line for what seemed like forever looking for that certain chemistry with that certain someone I was being hit on by this filthy rich resort owner. He was handsome and wanted to be quite generous, and as much as I was sick of the dating life and wanted to settle down with....well anyone....I could not allow him to buy me anything but dinner, because I was not sure if I could give the most intimate part of myself to a person I had no feelings for. We dated a few times, I had hoped some sparks would fly...but nothing. The goodnight kiss was on his cheek each date's end.
I broke it off explaining how the chemistry was not there, although he didn't care about the emotional aspect of it all, I did, I couldn't stoop to that level and be that shallow...DAMN I tell you I wished I could. At times I pat myself on the back for being a good person and on the other hand I slap myself silly wondering if I will find my match, and the life I had given up all for a feeling I may not ever find. | |

Sorry...it is way too common a thing, and far too often practiced...but hey...many allow themselves to have it happen to them. Best defense against it....a pre-nup agreement. It bespeaks a lot when someone refuses to sign such a thing, doesn't it? | |

You don't love them, you don't even like them much, you don't even like the sex, and frankly you find them insufferable. But they are rich and can provide you with all the money and possesions you could want. They want to marry you, would you do it ? Be Honest !

Posted: 2/7/2006 8:59:31 PM | I just had an interesting conversation with one of my friends tonight. She was telling me about her friend's family. They were throwing a birthday party for their five year old daughter. What impressed me was their unselfish attitude in the midst of wealth. My friend said that their mother asked that the guests bring only food that would go to a local food pantry for the poor instead of gifts. The little girl fully supported this, since she had enough toys anyway. That family's values of helping the less fortunate when they could so easily be selfish has given me respect for them, even though I never met them. My friend chooses her friends wisely, and knows HONOR when she sees it. We need more people of honor who will help the less fortunate like this family did.
Honor is everything whether a person is rich or poor. Honor can be found anywhere, and I'll marry a man for his HONOR, not whatever is in his wallet. If a man expresses the kinds of values this family expresses, I would marry someone like him in a heartbeat, whether he is rich or poor. If the world had more families like that family above, the world would be a better place to live!
A man could be a billionaire, but if he has no honor, in my eyes, he has nothing. | |

You are so wrong about what you think. come to BeverlyHills and you will see most super rich guys are married to women that look great made up and with tons of plastic surgery,but these women are not at all better looking than most on this site. Adrianna would definately get herself a rich guy with no problem at all,she is very young and cute, seems to be sane and not on drugs or alchohol therefore many guys would grab her quick.
But the norm here most guys are not dating playboy models. And if you saw Hugh's ex wife Kimberly in person you would think she was an old troll. But now she is dating Quincy Jones who is rich. Lots of Hollywood bigshots have very average wives. You people are watching too much television or live in small towns where there are so few rich men the rich guy has prime choice of 100% of the women.
It does not take "gorgeous " to get a rich man. All it takes is a woman who is "pretty" and knows how to boost up his ego and make him feel good about himself. My sister is a perfect example. She is not a raving beauty and is on her 2ND rich husband. Her present husband is an orthopeadic surgeon with his own MRI and earns about $3 million a year. Plus he owns a resort hotel in the carribean. Yes,he could have gotten a hotter wife,but my sister has the smarts to know a man is ruled by his ego and flattery she should write a book.
By the way, look at Brigitte Nielsen. The women looked like an amazon with a guy's haircut with 2 fake basketballs on her chest. Yet she got Sly Stalone to leave his beautiful wife for her and then dumped him. Then she got Mark Gastineau to leave his beautiful wife for her and dumped him too.She is smart enough to know how most rich guys are insecure and thrive on flattery and praise. Most women who will allow themselves to be bought for money are just as shallow. Thank God there are tons of beautiful women who do not worship the almighty dollar as their God! | |

I'd like to blame your obvious anger problem on some woman who did you wrong, but so have others, both male and female, and I don't see them all here, making blanket statements and trying to prod anyone into disproving their theory of the opposite sex. That's what you seem to want someone to do - prove you wrong. I have nothing to prove, I was just adding my two cents.

You have a lot to learn about life. This is not fabrication but reality which makes me wonder what type of men are you meeting.
If you want proof that all "rich men" do not want models look at your copy of Parade Magazine(insert in the Sunday newspaper. Garth Brooks ia talking about the "love of his life" which he just married this year Trisha Yearwood who is far from pretty,overweight and 41 years old. Out of all the models that throw themselves at him he choose her.
His words," The minute I met her I felt she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen". When she walked into that room all the air went out of me,
" When you're with her she makes you feel amazing! She gives you armor so you feel you can withstand anything life throws at you. When she's in the room I'm taller,smarter and fear nothing but losing her.
What I said about my sister's ability to get rich men is proved right here. It takes no raving beauty. Just a woman smart enough to realize if you make a man feel good around you,stoke his ego and let him think he is the king of the world it works wonders. But the woman has to be smart. If you have a bit of looks and know the key to a making a man feel he can conquer the world you have just as much as a beautiful woman. Too many young woman these days do not have the ability to stroke a man's ego as they feel they have to comete with him.
By the way, Better check out Andre Agassi's wife Stephi Graff. She looks like a guy in drag. But he was married to Brooke Shields and dumped her for Steffi. Women who use their wiles to get men can achieve anything. I looked at your picture and thought you do not look so bad. I wonder why you are so pessimsitic . Perhaps if you put yourself in situations where you can meet rcih professional men and have more self esteem about your worth as a woamna you will realize you can get just about any man if you accentuate your looks and use your ability to stroke his ego. It works like a charm. But you need to be a very confident girl to attract men like that. It's all mental.

I just noticed where you live.If you are looking for a rich man perhaps you need to move to where they are. Go lo Los Angeles and hang out in Beverly Hills. I guarentee you it will not take long for some older man to marry you. 19 years old? There will be a line of older rich men lining up for a teen who will accept the age difference for money.
. You have to go where there is an abundance of wealth and a small percentage of young girls looking to get married. In Los Angeles most girls you're age want to party and really few are into dating older guys.
Girl your age is at a great advantage.
I have a feeling the reason you think getting a rich man is so impossible is because you come from a part of the country where there is an abundance of young women searching for marriage and very few rich men or if rich are married. Here in LA lots of rich men are always divorcing so the pool is large and always available. No shortage of cash in this town if that's what you are looking for.. | |
