Posted: 2/14/2006 10:26:11 AM | I second that! I'm a mechanical designer running my own design business making quite a good living. I own a new car, paid for up front, I have a home, a college degree, and I put a few thousand dollars away each year for my son's college. So no, I'm not a bum. I also didn't spend the last 15 years doing nothing but studying; I have a black belt in hon hap do, I used to be a powerlifter & bodybuilder, and also have a certificate degree in fitness & nutrition.
I shower every day, and wash my hair almost every night. I don't do anything to it. I let it dry when I sleep, and brush it in the car on the way to work; no hogging of the mirror or the blow dryer. Anyone with any sense knows a blow dryer kills your hair anyway. My hair is in good condition, but I'll leave it up to your own opinion as to how it looks.
Which brings me to my answer to the posed question. Yes, women DO like long hair on men. Of course they do! And as in all things, it's just a matter of taste; those who like it have taste, those who don't, have no taste. I'm kidding. Some people think strawberries taste horrible, but they aren't criticized for their tastes, or lack thereof. The same goes for long hair on men, you either like us or you don't, and we don't care. We find the women who do like it, and are all the closer to them for that because we're not with someone who's trying to change us.
I have long hair because it grows and I don't want to cut it. I like it long, and luckily, it grows fast. I'm not trying to mimic some famous longhaired model or something, or posing as a wannabe rock star. I like it and that's pretty much it. It suits me, so says me. Some people are disturbed by men having long hair because we're outside the norm. But to tell you the truth, it's those people who refuse to wear anything or be anything that isn't "IN" that disturb ME! How can you live your whole life to everyone else's standards but your own? *shivers* | |

I am, though, mystified by some gents that grow long hair and then keep it tied in a pony-tail. What's with that? lol.
I had a gf years ago....and she would only date guys that had hair down to the middle of their backs (of course, that was the 80's, lol).
Me, personally, like short hair and as I'm getting older...find salt & pepper very attractive (any other woman my age having this reaction too? lol).
I guess it all depends on the guy....and why is it guys can lose their hair and still look attractive? | |

Posted: 4/2/2006 11:01:37 AM | I have always thought long haired guys were sexy....my son now has long hair and I think it looks good on him. The secret to good looking long hair is it has to always be clean, it needs to be kept styled, and it should be cut in a way that you can still see your face.
I'm in my early 50s and I like it...must be my early hippie days coming back...lolol | |

I'd sit for hours combing his hair while lhe layed on my lap. He'd often fall asleep and I'd still sit there combing and combing,,,it made me feel close to him and I knew it helped him to relax & help if he had a migraine. Who knows maybe one day he will call me for another hair episode! I miss him, and there is always hope. | |

People either play the game or they dont.
if they do play lifes game = compromise and try to get ahead in the world, u can expect the following:
Lies! resume... tsk tsk.. he who fibs on a little thing will be well practiced for a bigger thing.
manipulations... obsequiousness, bribes, scams, cons, etc.
theft! if their plan isnt going to great
extending of ones personal appearance... short business type hair cut maybe a suit, boob jobs depending on the job you've chosen to help u play the game, makeup
high maintenance... cuz to play the game u got to have the dough.
If they dont play the game u can expect:
no reason to lie.
no reason to manipulate.
no theft.. they dont covet
a natural look... no dyed blonde hair because blondes have (play) more (the) fun (game)
low maintenance.
If a person is allowed to and does have long hair then I expect them to be cooler than any of the short hairs i know. Cool is not just laughter a thief can make a person laugh. Coolness comes from inside.
in my case i enjoy the feel of hair on my back and the way the wind tossess it about. It sets me apart and my moral structure is that of the next generation of people to emerge from the hippy movement and before the govie coined "generation x", my generation are simply called "long hairs", we were too late for the sex on the lawn and the protests, but the moral code was simple... be honest, be fair, be justifyable.
if i cut my hair short, i am either attempting to play the game or ive had chemo. Neither will i do. | |

Posted: 5/14/2006 12:25:04 PM | Most women don't like the long locks anymore because the rocker hair went out of style along with all the tight-fitted leather and studs! The odd guy might look alright with long hair if it's taken care of, but it seems like the majority of men who are persistent about keeping it, have thin, scraggly hair that you can almost see through! Of course this doesn't account for ALL... But when it comes down to it, a clean cut guy with shorter hair, something up-to-date is just much more attractive to me, anyway...

I love Classic Rock (70's & 80's) and I also love the New Country yet I don't keep my hair long because of music. I just love long hair, I always keep it clean and in a tail.
I see some talk about how men with thinning hair on top shouldn't have long hair at the back either. Well I look at it like this, I have had long hair for over 20yrs and just because I'm thinning on top now doesn't mean I'm going out to chop off my hair no no no no no | |

Posted: 5/14/2006 3:19:10 PM | It's all about what looks good on you, and I hate to break it to some people, but long hair really doesn't suit a lot of people, especially when it's thinning! Sure, it's great to keep it for 20 years just to say you can, but come on now! ha! In fact, it ends up making you look older rather than younger...
