I have gone all the way on first date twice and neither relationship lasted very long. Ive also had relationships were didn't even do touching so it all depends on the relationship and the people. | |

Posted: 2/28/2009 9:50:52 PM | Those kind of "All-Or-Nothing" scenarios are becoming a bit outdated I think, Marriage is at an all time high(for failure) in the last decade, and like many other posters are saying, people like to "check out" the physical aspect of the relationship before "jumping" into marriage with little to no sexual experience.
So, for me, I say no, seeing as I don't " want" to get married, and I like to "try it before I buy it" anyway. even IF I wanted to get married, no, I wouldn't want to wait. So much emphasis is put on "wait till your married" which is silly, and antiquated. Don't screw everything that moves, for no reason, but if theres a connection, go for it! | |

Posted: 3/1/2009 12:01:03 AM | hmm...that would be a yes in my book, I like to think that sex is a lower brain function and in todays society waiting is not bad. But I would have to say waiting would have to mean waiting for the right person. I have been single for about 8 years so I think of that as no problem, while i think most guys would love not to wait especially for the right person, what harm would waiting do?
People are usually defined by the people they hang out with, if there friends like to go out and find people to sleep with, you would end up being guilty by association. It's kind of like hanging out with a person dependant on drugs, people are going to think you do it too. In my case I have a lot of friends and the last thing that any of us would do is leave our friends just for a piece little alone go looking for one. | |

To have a rigid rule between you is not the smartest thing to do. "The 40-year-old virgin" makes the waiting period as 20 dates. That's fair enough to me. | |

The facts maybe:
1) there are male members within the Mormon faith and others that will abide by this and with the Amish it's NO debate that celibacy til the vow will manifest!
2) But most Christians want to have their cake, not bother doing the cooking and much less will clean up the dishes. Like they are CARNAL Christians and Christ is not aloowed to handle the steering wheel of life on most issues!
3) I have know a Christian woman who was a virgin til the wedding. But she played marital prostitution with her husband to the point because of her bartering and control they lost their business and home because she was over protective of here baby boy.

The guys that pass her by, it' their loss, and they probably will have a hard time having a meaningful relationship with one married woman in the future because of their sexual habits to so many different women; unless, they make some dramatic change. However, there is hope for these men, I have a relative who was having sex outside of marriage with plenty of women, but he decided in honoring God and the women he was going to marry they would wait till marriage to have sex, and they did. They are married today and I'm happy for both of them. So, it is possible. | |

GUYS!!! If you met the right woman, could you wait for the sex till marriage? -- in (3) words ... "Oh Hell No!" I mean, at this point in my life -- ABBSoFrigginLutely Not!" I say this, not because I don't respect a woman who might want to wait -- rather, think of it this way -- at 40+ years of age, I feel that a person might want to ensure that things still function as they should (or, as they did 10-20 years earlier). This might explain why older men & women are attracted to those much younger in age -- they want to make sure there's some sexual compatibility (AKA -- Sex Drive)
If I were in my 20s or 30s, then sure thing -- I'd wait, but (since I'm not looking for a virgin at this point in my life), what's the sense of risking incompatibility (when it comes -- feel FREE to alter any spelling needed here -- to sex)? | |

Posted: 5/8/2009 7:15:18 AM | Part of deciding if I've met the right woman is if the sex is great. I definitely wouldn't want to date her, spend all the money on an engagement, wedding and then on the honeymoon or further down the line get a nasty surprise in the bedroom.
So no... I'll never wait for sex till marriage. | |

both, you say, well then we better have some conversations about our sexual commitment in the marriage, dont you think?
my point is, talk about marriage obligations. [there are some, yes?]
feel each other out, figuratively speaking.
are people going to hold out on each other as the newness subsides.
once you do IT, its usually to late to talk about it any more.
we are old enough to have a record now.
if intimacy was not one of the #1 priorities in the last relationship, why would it be one now?
I refuse to believe that I am some how fantastically better in every way then the last guy. in other words, she would never hold out on me! | |

The second one was a widower and the best wife a man could have. Yep, I engaged in sex with both before I married them, but now that I am a widower of a very senior age, I have to consider my eternity.
I am not a preacher, but I know a lot of you resent being "preached to." Well, for you who practice sex before marriage what are you going to do when scripture plainly states that an adulterer, a fornicator (which most of you are talking about), an effeminate, and a drunkard can NOT enter the kingdom of heaven? I like sex as much as the next man, but should I marry a final time, I plan to look more closely at a woman's other characteristics first, after all when you finish the sex act you still are left with that person, so I think one should take a good look at the relationship. Sex can always be improved on. As for some of the sex acts expressed by some men in here, you need to find you a prostitute instead of a wife! That's my two cents worth.  | |

1) You'll find someone else to sleep with
2) You'll end up masturbating while watching porn. Because of my personal beliefs I think that masturbation while thinking of another woman is cheating.
So because you're trying to hold out til marriage you've ended up cheating. | |
