| GUYS!!! If you met the right woman, could you wait for the sex till marriage?
Posted: 8/18/2009 3:23:02 AM | | No; I was with a girl who was *extremely* selfish in that department for a few years once, so I would never consider getting married without knowing what I was getting into first. Have also met others who were nothing but users... I'm not a sex maniac or anything and after a 'burn' at the beginning of this year, followed by some stalker experiences, I'm currently going the longest I have went w/o since I was a teenager and not really bothering me much - just now starting to - but, just not worth the hassle. Taking the big step of marriage without knowing what you are in for if not for me, however... anymore than getting married the night I meet someone - see no difference in the risk taking. | |

Posted: 8/18/2009 8:23:48 AM | I think I could, but she would have to be a phenominal woman! I mean she would have to be able to satisfy my emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. To be honest, sex is the easy part - it's getting in someone's mind and heart that are difficult.
And I would certainly go out with her again if she was saving hherself for marriage. I respect that, but it would not be my first choice. | |

I think you can marry get a divorce if that all you are after sex. If a man loves you he will wait or marry you. There are courses that can improve your sex life I read about. If sex is number one why are everyone getting divorce after having thinking this is your best sex partner.? It is the whole package
That is why you men who test drive it end up with diseases or an unwanted child. Accidents do happen and it is your fault and responsible.Marriage is underrated by many people.
Whenever I find the right one not a perfect man it would work out again.Good things can come to those who wait. As someone wrote here " An OPEN and honest, ethical, strong, intelligent, logical, affectionate, independent woman is a VERY RARE find." I might be one but know I am not alone

I have no problem waiting a healthy amount of time before having sex. But that type of intimacy is a very important part of a relationship and there are aspects of a person's desires that can't be changed. I consider it appropriate to have sex prior to marriage - without pressuring the woman to do so.
If it's a deal-breaker on the marriage and she's "the one," that's a horrible position to be in. | |

The question I imagine would be is she sexually compatable for you, without sex before marrage? I dont have that answer, but a friend Iknow and his daughter both did not have sex with thier spouces before thier marrage to one another and they today are happily married couples. And if your not limited to "other things" why would you risk loosing her when "intercourse" is her only request at the time she wants to refrain from. I personally would welcome "other things" and our future together. | |

I thought he was being a gentleman and not pressuring me. Turns out, he didn't enjoy sex. The relationship lasted another three months with very infrequent intimacy. I always had to make the first move. It was awful and heartbreaking because we were so compatible in other ways. But sex and intimacy are incredibly important. That is a far greater concern then someone who is "bad" in bed. At least they can be taught. If there is simply no interest, there is no teaching someone out of that. There is no doubt in my mind that had I married him, we would have gotten divorced. So guys, if you are going to wait at least have the discussion about whether she is even interested. | |

Well, If a guy like me can wait im sure it will show that not only i have a Personality
but im Also mentally and physically capable of been faithfull. And when it comes to waiting, if is for the right life i want to live with her. She would understand that im here to be the only one to love her and protect her and im the right man who deserves her for life.

I do believe that sex - besides being extremely pleasurable - is constructed in such a way so as to bond two people together spiritually, emotionally, physically, and they are now finding even chemically. Since I don't want to be truly bonded to someone until I have made a real lifelong commitment, I have tried hard to not have sex during this single period I am in.
And now everyone can go ahead and call me lots of names - I know how these forums are - go ahead, I can take it ;-)

Posted: 10/16/2009 12:02:28 PM | Marriage is for having and raising children. I don't want children until I'm in a better place financially and healthwise. I'd be crazy to wait until marriage to have sex with a woman. One important aspect of marriage is sex and so it's best to know whether or not you "click" in this area before getting married. Then again, a lot of married guys says the sex stops after 2 or 3 years of marriage. Why would I want that?

Posted: 10/16/2009 4:33:30 PM | hi everyone, please read this, again and again, iam 52,but iam in great shape,so i dated for 1 YEAR, YES 1 YEAR, AND NO SEX, did it by the book, the church book, i felt good about it spiritually,but, it was a big mistake,kicking tires, all of that,well,by the 3 month i was over her, what i was given for 1 yr , was great,yet soon as the marriage started,she had no sex drive, oh she was 56 going on 86 ,plus going through stage.
Would never do that again, well after that, i have no desire to get married again,i believe those who do , should , not even date, but make damm sure he or she is your best friend, that takes time.

I think that it's sort of which ever way you go, you have another set of problems. At this point, I'm trying to keep my on sex until marriage thing, but I think that if it was easy for the woman, that would be a big red flag to me - especially around the age you are talking about, women can go through a lot of changes - it's pretty important to me to have this part of life work well in my marriage, so I am really looking for everything I can do to make sure it does. Good luck and God bless on the next one, I hope it's the last and one that really works for you. | |
