I have not yet had a relationship where sex has played a part, but I will very soon. I don't call myself "noble". I do have morals and ethics, though. I do not doubt that sex can be an important part of a relationship. What I am saying is that it doesn't ALWAYS have to be that way. What I am also saying is that there should be more factors other than sex that go into deciding if you are compatible with another person. I agree with you that people think sexual compatibility is very important. I think it shouldn't be as important... That is just my opinion. I don't think there is anything wrong with thinking that. My opinion might change when sex is a part of my relationship, but right now, it is how it is. Yes, I am inexperienced, but you were at one time, too. | |

So I would be waiting for marriage for a girl im likely to get once a month. Not particularly appealing. I might be convinced to wait six months for a girl, but after that im moving on to greener pastures. | |

I have never, in this discussion or any like it, implied or stated that a virgin should be ashamed of being a virgin. We've all been one.
It was, however, a relevant comment in a discussion where past experiences - or a lack of them - come into play in our adult decisions.

There's nothing wrong with having morals and ethics. I am a moral and ethical person, myself. It would be nice, however, if you didn't oppose those to the rest of us who disagree as if we were all horndogs who can't keep it in our pants.
Some of us may be, just as some people who are willing to wait MAY be frigid and uninterested in sex. Or impotent.
But does it really help the direction of the discussion to imply that?
What I am also saying is that there should be more factors other than sex that go into deciding if you are compatible with another person. I agree with you that people think sexual compatibility is very important. - mystriousnetrix
And I agree with you that there are other factors involved. | |

If I KNEW we were going to get married, and spend the rest of our lives together, yes I would wait, but you can't ever KNOW that. You can waste your whole life waiting for something that may never come, screw that. | |

My last relationship the sex was horrible and I have never been happier to end it. Yeah practice makes perfect but sometimes all the practice in the world will not matter. I have to click with someone in the bedroom along with lots of other things of course. | |

Posted: 5/24/2006 9:07:38 PM | | even if the person is worth the wait why should the other have to suffer for so long no way i agree that the test drive is always a best buy that way you could always keep shopping around but always remember in a lot of cases the first time isn't always the best you have to know what the other likes to get it right so have fun trying and besides what good is a romantic night with out the love making not to romantic it's like putting a kids favourite candy in front of them then saying no can't have it (torture) | |

A lot of guys ARE horndogs who can't keep it in their pants. If you can't wait till marriage, then doesn't that mean that you can't keep in in your pants? Oh by the way. You said before that there are women that are posting and agreeing with you. Well I am getting messages from women saying that they agree completely with me, so it doesn't seem like they are all on your side after all. | |

that marriage is the final signal that everything is OK to proceed. Of course I know it doesn't have to happen that way, but if that's what a woman who likes me wants and would like to build, I'd much prefer that over someone who wants sex on the first date. So yes, I'd wait. Sex is not the only thing that bonds people together. | |

I would have it no other way, my second marriage lasted 12 years. I respect a woman who is in to me, and who I believe is honest. | |
