| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 8:51:38 AM | i only had one really bad exp. it was right after i first joined.. i met a guy on here.. we chatted via yahoo and then i realized i wans't nearly as interested as he was. well all of the sudden i'm a **** all that jazz.. then he copied my photo and made a fake profile on here with it - he got deleted - but i have noticed that he's back again b/c he showes up in my searches. i just try to avoid him now.
ppl can be very rude when they think that there is no recourse you can take b/c you dont really 'know' them .

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 11:17:03 AM | Well the best solution so far seems to be to REPORT the offender to the moderators. They probably need to see the email so dont delete it until they have looked into it. They can they delete the person. Then just block and delte the person.
firehd>Thats pretty bad. It would be difficult to find out if someone has made a fake ad with your pic as most of us just look at the profiles of the opposite sex. You were lucky you found it.
Its a pity that people cant add a "pig" filter on the mail filters. Instead of a "rate the picture" they could have a rating system for the emails people receive. If its offensive then the sender gets another point on the pig meter. People could then choose if they want to accept email from senders with a high or low pig rating. Of course there will still be the problem of them just making new usernames but at least it will slow them down and make it a little harder for them to annoy people. Eventually they will get tired of making new profiles and stop their crap.

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 12:07:53 PM | I get rude sexual emails everyday, my profile is very clear on what I am looking for and what I am not looking for. I state “FRIENDS”, how in the world do SOME guys think the definition of friends is to: belittle, dispraise, slander, belligerent, invading, hostile, and have sexual misconduct. Big Red Truck- I would be on a sex site if that is what I looking for! And, the wonderful emails that I do get, is the reason I stay on this site. Lady’s there are wonderful guys here on POF.

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 12:09:18 PM | I've only really had one rude person on PoF. She wrote an argumentative email to me. I replied in kind. She realized that she had arrived to a battle of wits unarmed, and blocked me. That was fine and good, until she started sniping me. She'd unblock me, send a nasty note, and then reblock me so that I couldn't reply to her. I chuckled, shook my head, blocked her and went on with life.
She wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the pack, if you know what I'm sayin'.

Yep... I've got one like that, too. Better not say too much though because she tends to follow my thread posts to 'shoot me down' since I stopped corresponding with her.
So, brotha... even though you've got her blocked doesn't mean you're rid of her...

It just comes from people who are insecure, yet arrogant. They have to resolve their issues and stop drinking alcohol.
They have to find themselves.

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 4:09:00 PM | Apparantly at some time on the Forums, I hit someone's buttons just about proper....Christmas Eve if you could believe it, I got the nastiest message from anyone that pretty much rivals anything you'll see on Springer. Better yet, the person never even had the cahonies, or whatever the female equivalent is to use his/her own name....Actually went far enough out of their way to create a false profile just for bashing me(and probably others)....I was deeply honoured.
As for actual people being rude, not overly. Sometimes, I do get some really confusing ones though....they kinda worry me a bit....

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 4:26:39 PM | If a gal ask me how much I made and what I did for a living, I would tell them what they want hear. A lye, that is a typical bar question. I have been ask that alot the first time I meet a chick in a bar, so lye. Its none of there dam businuss really. Trust me they are a gold digger. You can telll them what you do for work. But to tell them how much you make is a mistake. It may not be enuff for theyre gold digging pocket to take. | |

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 4:36:29 PM | yo lifelover, was that the "hatemail" thread? I think it may have been on Christmas eve that some whacko was sending all sorts of crazy stuff out to everyone in the thread.
ey Dark, thanx for the congrats,as I actually look at nasty e-mail as more of a compliment than an insult..I'm with swagger, details, details!
OP-Obviously, men look at x-rated e-mails in a different sort of light than most women.

| rude emails that spoil your POF experience Posted: 1/17/2006 5:42:28 PM | It wasn't my first in a very long string of mails I've had....most have the nuts to say who they are...but twice I've backtracked on profiles to find out they've been created and falsed....lol....It kills me that what one person says here another takes to heart so much that they have to lash out in anger...I thought about it for the whole day wondering which one I'd ticked off was that mad, but then again at the end of the third beer, neice and nephew climbing all over me, I didn't really care too much....
