| last good book read Posted: 6/20/2006 6:11:35 PM | The last entertaining book I read was Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts. I prefer quality fluff. I believe its how Roberts ingrains quirky senses' of humor in her characters, and Blue Smoke, "Bo's" humor was ...well....funny. The way I see it is, that I dont want to 'think' while relaxing, I just want to relax and enjoy a good story that I know will end 'happily ever after'. | |

| last good book read Posted: 6/23/2006 10:25:43 AM | | Just finished 100 Years of Solitude, for the second time. After i made that last post, i ate and picked up the book and became spell bound in it's entireity. I made a salad and cracked a bottle of wine and began to slowly walk through the chapters devouring each nuance and subtlety missed or disregarded the first time. I have already given it away to someone who wanted something to read over lunch today. I didn't feel right not handing it off for someone else to read. Books as brilliant as this one, should not be sitting idle on the shelves. Do the world a favor....give your favorite book away or give a copy as a gift. Argh, now I must sleep. | |
