The last entertaining book I read was Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts. I prefer quality fluff. I believe its how Roberts ingrains quirky senses' of humor in her characters, and Blue Smoke, "Bo's" humor was ...well....funny. The way I see it is, that I dont want to 'think' while relaxing, I just want to relax and enjoy a good story that I know will end 'happily ever after'.

Davinci code was entertaining but I would not say well written...no offense...I liked it!

Great reads in the past...
The Tent Peg by Judith Van Herk (?)
The Summer Tree -trilogy Guy Kavriel Kay (CND!!)
The Wasp Factory - Iain Banks
The Mummy - Anne Rice
David Eddings....
I could go on and on...
But!

Plugging through...
The Power of Now
The Daemon Haunted World - Sagan
and a book by Laura Heany forgot the title...a series of historical fiction set in Egypt.

re-read Jane Austen's sense and sensibility for the 15th time (or something like that) and a novel called august frost by a new brit writer (can't remember the name). it's actually quite a lovely first time novel and has some really beautiful prose. i also just finished beauty tips from moose jaw - rather a yawn than a laugh over that one by one of the ferguson brothers...

Currently in the process of rereading the Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan.

I started reading Marquez's, One Hundred Years of Solitude this morning and after a 100 pages, i forced myself to put it down till tomorrow or i'd not eat till i was done. lol.

Just John Irving's A Widow for a Year and now reading his, Until I find You
Truly any of his work is worth reading. If you haven't read him start with Hotel New Hampshire it is very funny and then World According to Garp. If you saw the movie and don't wanna read that try a Prayer for Owen Meaney.

Just finished 100 Years of Solitude, for the second time. After i made that last post, i ate and picked up the book and became spell bound in it's entireity. I made a salad and cracked a bottle of wine and began to slowly walk through the chapters devouring each nuance and subtlety missed or disregarded the first time. I have already given it away to someone who wanted something to read over lunch today. I didn't feel right not handing it off for someone else to read. Books as brilliant as this one, should not be sitting idle on the shelves. Do the world a favor....give your favorite book away or give a copy as a gift. Argh, now I must sleep.

I just finished, Tell No One by Harlan Corban. It was excellent! I read the whole thing in 5 hours.
Of course, I am a voracious reader (40 books a year), still it was very engrossing!

The Bridges of Madisson County...I only grabbed it because it wasn't too thick (not much of a reader) and I just thought I should bring some reading material for my trip...turned out to be a great book...and I have a very short attention span...highly recommend it.

Re-reading "Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned" Walter Mosley...probably his best
My killing time at work read at the moment is "Cold Service" Robert Parker...I adore these Spenser novels for good ole' thoughtless fun
I love reading anything that comes from Daniel Silva especially his earlier stuff ie:"The Marching Season"...his stories are usually predictable but I can never bypass the ride
