| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 10:28:43 AM | I just don't get this issue. Has anyone ever heard of a toilet seat LID????
A bathroom looks so much better and cleaner when the lid and seat are down.
What the heck is the lid for if no one uses it???
When its down, its like there is a chair in the bathroom.
Ok, I am on a rant here, but this issue is so done with.
Put the LID down people!!!!!!
That way, in the middle of the night, there will never be a ker-sploosh then scream, and guys, well we will do our thing, which is to check for the seat/lid and move it accordingly.
Please for goodness sake, PUT THE LID DOWN!!!

Ok why is it woman complain about a man not putting the seat down? I always look to see if the seat is up or down...either way if I wanna take a leak...I put it up so I dont piss all over the seat...if I have sit down to pinch a loaf I make sure the seat is down so I dont fall in! why cant woman do half of that to ensure they dont fall in??? Some women are used to living with only other women and they had a bad experience with falling into the bowl.

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 10:35:16 AM | Once I train my cat to lift the lid, then I'll put the lid down. Until then, the lid remains up, seat remains down.
My house, my rules. | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 10:36:31 AM | That was a MAJOR issue with the ex-fiancee I had. It was rediculous. | |
|
| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 10:42:06 AM | here is the difinitive answer...guys, shut-up, sit down and take a leak...the seat thing will never be an issue again...you won't have to wash the floor so much...and here's the biggie, since you didn't touch mr. johnson, or the seat, you won't have to wash your hands...i'm sure if the seat thing is such a problem, washing your hands afterwards is probably just as big a problem...there, argument settle, issue closed...NEXT!!!! | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 11:13:49 AM | | Because women expect guys to go that extra distance in all things. | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 11:25:44 AM | | omg...I can't believe that this topic would get so much responses...this is about as interesting as a discussion about which way the toilet paper rolls.... | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 11:33:44 AM | It's a courtesy, a loving gesture. It shows consideration. It's makes her feel taken care of, like opening a door for her or guiding her across the street sort of thing.
BTW, keeping the lid down creates a dark, moist environement that breeeds more germs than keeping the lid up. Just thought I'd post that little bit of trivia.

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/30/2006 11:37:09 AM | | 2007 AND WE ARE STILL DISCUSSING THE TOILET SEAT THING, GET OVER IT, MEN HAVE IT UP AS NOT TO PEE ON IT FOR WHEN WOMEN SIT DOWN. WOMEN LEAVE IT DOWN COS THEY ARE ONLY THINKING OF THEMSELVES. THERE YOU GO THE MIFF SOLVED IN 60 SECONDS. | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 4:38:10 AM | Hey, if I don't gripe about others leaving the seat down, I don't expect others to whine at me for leaving it up.
What I would REALLY like to know is, in the event I put both the seat and the lid in the 'down' position, why aren't I complained at when a woman has to lift the lid? It's the same amount of work as putting the seat down. More, actually. Why? Answer me!!

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 4:52:50 AM | Women have to sit to go to the bathroom 100% of the time. Men only have to sit 50% of the time. Statistically speaking, the seat should be down since it is used more ofen in the down position than it is in the up position.
There! When in doubt, solve it with math.

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 5:13:13 AM | Parry19: Pee in the shower......
Only pee in the shower when you are taking a shower. Pee in the sink, it is much easier. One study showed that 80% of men peed in their sink at least once.
Do you really want to argue about the toilet seat, when men are peeing in your sink?

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 9:37:29 AM | When I'm done I put both the seat and the lid down pretty much every time... that's just how I roll.

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 5:52:20 PM | | Yeah I never got this either. Perhaps it's just seen as being a gentleman, like opening a door for a lady or pulling her seat out for her. | |

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 6:01:58 PM | Ugg not this thread again...
I'm sure it has been said by others.. but here is a novel idea.. put both of the f*ing lid and seat down.. then both people have to lift it up... not to mention you don't have to look at the toilet bowl whenever you walk by (some of those feng shui people have other reasons to leave both down too)
Perhaps the rest of the world should go to the system used in Russia and much of Asia where everyone squats over a hole in the floor... nasty but then no one would fight over the damn seat

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 6:09:53 PM | My #1 quality, not listed on my profile, is that I sit down to pee! How's that for a quality ladies?
Not that I have a "short one" or anything and that I am not confident in my aim but.....LOL
I am also a dream come true for women who like giving oral sex since, just like a woman, I will wipe that little drop. Too good to be true? You are right. I only do this at my place since it does not have a "whole neighbourhood open door policy" and that I am the one that does the cleaning in my house. Does it make sense? It is not a secret why I like visitors that sit down. What are you waiting for ladies? Come and confidently sit down at my place. LoL

| The Toilet seat thing!!! Posted: 12/31/2006 6:42:08 PM | I look where I walk, I look where I sit. Life is to short to worry about the toilet seat and there are bigger things to consentrate on in my opinion. Good luck with that one. | |

I agree with sanderick on this one. Closing the lid is the requirement in MY bathroom.
The cats get Brita filtered water....I don't need them to drink from the toilet and then lick my face.

My cat doesn't drink the water.....she is trained to use the toilet to do her business. She has yet to master lifting the lid.
