For sheer laughs, Family Guy, Spongebob Squarepants, Looney Tunes (Guaranteed to make you laugh)
For page turning humor, all the books of Calvin & Hobbs and early Bloom County.
For sheer slapstick, about a third of all the Garfield strips. Good ole vaudeville humor!
Splat!, boing!, ting! ploot!

| Characters - cartoon and cartoonish Posted: 4/4/2006 7:30:19 PM | 5.) Those overly-polite chipmunks (or gophers?) from Looney-tunes (the ones that said "Thannnnnnn-kyou!" after repeatedly insisting the other go down the gopher hole first while being chased by something that wants to eat them or being run through a tomato canning factory)
4.) Bugs bunny. Yes, this is odd, the King being #4, but this is my list, and this is how it is.
3.) Foghorn Leghorn.
2.) Ren & Stimpy. Too disgustingly funny to not love. "Happy happy joy joy!"
And the number one cartoon of all time is....
1.) Daffy duck (when he developed his greedy, less psychotic personality)

Those overly-polite chipmunks You must mean Disney's Chip 'n' Dale...
For me, it's Samurai Jack, hands down!
Oh, and Speed Racer and Racer X back in the day...and if you can't get with Grim from "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" then you ain't ready to die, lol

This is turning into a fun continuation of a thread from a couple of months back here!
Actually, the Warner Brothers critters were gophers, and their names are Mac & Tosh...
"Shall we?"
"Indubitably, let's DO!"
You folks have already listed most of my favorites, both animated and in print, keep it up :D
