| BODY LANGUAGE, no sounds but “speaks” a lot!!! Posted: 12/13/2006 2:22:19 AM | Okay, here's an example to decipher if anyone wants to give it a try:
I walk into a large hall (gym-type), and some guy is sitting at a far table looking at me. He isn't talking, but before I'm even in the hall, he is already focused in my direction.
Now, without taking into account the nature of the relationship (friend, stranger, co-worker, etc), what is the FIRST impression?

You are trailing a long streamer of toilet paper behind you, stuck to the bottom of your shoe? Did I win?
Have fun | |

| BODY LANGUAGE, no sounds but “speaks” a lot!!! Posted: 12/14/2006 3:23:54 PM | Hi Everyone,
Actually, I have a question that maybe someone here can help me with. What does it mean when a man "cups" your face with his hands and kisses you? What ever it meant,...I liked it!

| BODY LANGUAGE, no sounds but “speaks” a lot!!! Posted: 12/14/2006 6:43:38 PM | And. . . the name of the book was????
But it's true, many a con artist know this stuff and act accordingly.
I had a GF into NLP, and she claims she could detect lying, especially in her children, but then I realized that was no big deal, because all any of them did (including her) was lie!
It just reinforces what I said above, that the scheisters of the world are often the ones that master all of this stuff! Politicians apparently learn all this stuff as well.

| BODY LANGUAGE, no sounds but “speaks” a lot!!! Posted: 12/14/2006 7:08:47 PM | | You know it's really weird. I have come across this thread several times and each time I read, "Body language, no sounds but "squeaks" a lot." Now I wonder what that means... | |

| BODY LANGUAGE, no sounds but “speaks” a lot!!! Posted: 12/14/2006 7:22:43 PM | Body language isn't that reliable. Some people exhibit an array of tells when they're actually telling the truth. According to your pop-psychology a socially nervous person is - by default - a pathological liar.
That, and some people are very comfortable in social engagements. Personally, I indulge in a very dry sarcastic wit which requires a straight face to execute properly. Add that to some work in customer service and I can cheat polygraphs.
Something tells me this post was a bad idea...

You are trailing a long streamer of toilet paper behind you, stuck to the bottom of your shoe? Did I win? Yes, Thorn. You win the Kewpie Doll, complete with toilet paper stuck to the bottom of her shoe.
