| Long or Short hair? Posted: 3/17/2006 2:49:28 AM | | I prefer women to have long hair, but it's not really an issue for me. As for me, I always had shoulder-length until it began to thin around 30. Thankfully, the thug-cut is acceptable nowadays, so, during BST, it's kept very short. At the mo, it's been allowed to grow since October, and I'm ready for the big "off" at the end of the month. | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 3/17/2006 2:50:52 AM | Well like i've always said i like women to look like 12yr old boys the shorter the hair the better for me. Maybe a mullet would really turn my crank | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/27/2006 1:56:52 PM | I have long hair, I have cut it short before but believe it or not its much harder work having short hair than it is long hair - long hair suits me better than short hair - Im never ever cutting it again! As for guys - if they are hot looking, they can get away with having long hair - not too long though! | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 10:09:30 AM | Wotcha Nergal, I think having long hair helps me to remember my social roots... and interact honestly with those I meet.... who the hell wants to be an old hippy in disguise! At least I look like the person I realy am. I still do re-enactment battles, Live Role Play events, Amsterdam weekends, and I'm only 49. I have no plans to give up partying. | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 10:21:08 AM | I have been considering cutting my hair off. I've had long hair for about 13-14 years and a stack of people I know very well have never ever seen me with short hair. Doesn't look like many folk like guys with long hair, maybe that's where I've gone wrong? Or could it be because I am dull as ditch water! | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 10:41:48 AM | I love my hair, well I did until the hairdressers made a pigs ear of bleaching my roots.
Just recently went blonde, and didnt realise how often I'd have to have my roots done, but seriously often, as my hair grows at such an alarming rate.
So I go along to have my roots bleached, is it burning she asks, no not at all lol, as I'm sitting in the chair wincing. Anyhoo, 2 days later my scalp is like falling away from my head, so to speak, and I look like I've got scurvy or some other not very nice disease where your skin falls off. So consequently I had to walk round with a bloody nike cap on for 2 weeks, as people were starting to mention how bad my dandruff looked. Its not bloody dandruff tsk.
So as soon as I get some advice I'm going back to my natural colour, which is brown. I did have fun as a blonde, but sod it, its not worth my bloody scalp falling off every month.
And as for guys, I am very fickle, one week I'm loving the bald just shaved look, oooh Grant, next week I'm like, ooooh look at that guy with the hair, swooon lol, so very fickle indeed.

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 10:51:29 AM | Gawd missi lou, are you OK now though? Hey who says blondes have more fun, i'm brunette and you'll look great back to your natural colour | |
|
| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 11:00:43 AM | Well its stopped flaking and peeling now, and I've since been able to take me cap off, thank goodness.
But looking at old pics today of me and my brown hair and I'm thinking I didnt look to bad brown, so looking forward to sitting for 40 mins again with a dye on my head for the last time, well until the grey roots start coming through, geez us women cant win
Just need advice now as to how I go about it, sod letting the hairdressers do it. Apparently though I cant just put a brown die on my hair as it could possible go green. So any advice would be greatfully recieved, cheers.

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 11:03:47 AM | | I think to be honest, your best getting it done professionally, it really could go green if you or a friend did it for you. I think they have to strip your hair first, before getting you back to your natural colour. Don't quote me as i'm not 100% sure.... | |
|
| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 11:03:52 AM | I have never dyed my hair....brunettes have a lot of fun....so i am told
OT going for such a drastic change, i would suggest getting it done properly....
|
| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 11:06:39 AM | Well I spose I could at least get advice off the hairdressers, and then ask how much there going to charge.
A friend of my daughters had to put 5 brown dyes on her bleached hair to get back to brown, excessive me thinks, the poor girls hair must snap off so easily, and surely going to the hairdressers would of been cheaper than 5 hair dyes.

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 12:32:28 PM | | to me, a beautiful woman with short hair stands out from the crowd far more. I dont know why, but I think it also says to me confidence and assurance and all things positive? | |
|
| Long or Short hair? Posted: 4/28/2006 1:01:01 PM | Missi U should definatley have it done professionally somewhere that specialise in colours. When u bleach ur hair you change its structure an it becomes less able to hold colour. I have mine highlighted instead and if it gets too solid (blonde) over time they put streaks my own colour in, it doesnt look as harsh on your roots then.
its worth payin for you can change ur clothes not so easy ur hair.

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 2/5/2007 2:28:21 PM | I don't think I really need to state my position on this subject.
Men in my family go bald: I'm making the most of it while I can

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 2/6/2007 2:51:06 AM | My hair? It's longish. Curly. It grows there. I just wash it- it does it's own thing, really. I suppose I just kind of live under it.
Mens hair? I've always had a bit of a thing about long hair on men. I think it has something to do with an adolescent association between short hair (Skinheads) and aggressive behavior. Or maybe it's to do with Marc Bolan. I like dreads, too.
And bald heads. | |

| Long or Short hair? Posted: 2/6/2007 2:56:32 AM | | I had long hair forever and loved it had a mad moment between Christmas and New Year and got it chopped it off. All my friends love it, I've had lots of complimentary messages on here from those who knew me last year and I loved it for a month. But I'm bored now, I want my long hair back, might get extensions! | |
