He never said she had a hairy clit...he said he was scared going OVER to clit. And I would think women, knowing their anatomy as they should, would be able to identify where the concern would be considering places of actual hair growth and in relation to the clit. But no, lets skip right over that to think and say something rude.
The amount of bleeding was also never mentioned, but everybody ran with that as well. It could have simply been one or two spots. And as a novice waxer...that would be kinda concerning as well.
And, honestly, having witnessed the procedure myself, I can understand where his concern as a first time waxer would come from if one didnt know the proper approach. Perhaps one could have performed a little research first into the procedure...but I also commend the guy for trying. Seems to be a lot o guys here that wouldnt even try for their lady...and to decline a request from your lady...pretty sad again. | |

actually he did say:

so what was he doing OVER the clit and why was he concerned about hurting it because there is NO HAIR on the clit! He should have been around it, not over it - and you wouldn't be concerned about hurting it if you were doing around it!
the area being waxed is the LABIUM MAJORA - that's were the hair grows, buddy! so he shouldnt have been going over the clit - which is what he said he did!
maybe someone needs an english lesson....over vs around, above, to the side, near!
i AM knowledgable on the female anatomy, which is why i was shocked that he said he went over it. good god man, get a grip! | |

While waxing does last longer, there is no need if you have a boyfriend who is willing/excited about regularly shaving you. The joy of helping a lover in her grooming, a reason to regularly cater to her, and the pleasure of enjoying the smoothness immediately after is a real treat for me, and most lovers have found it a treat as well. Done carefully and lovingly it can be a great form of foreplay, kinda like regularly brushing her hair for her.

Posted: 7/4/2006 2:18:10 PM | As a brazilian waxer, and mentioned in my prior post, IT CAN BLEED!!!! And What makes you think that because it bleeds, it will hurt more??? You are ripping the hair out by the root, the root is ALIVE and NEEDS BLOOD. There can be bleeding during ANY kind of waxing, it doesn't mean that it wasn't done correctly. Be glad when it does bleed, because AGAIN it kills the follicle and that means one less hair to rip out next time. I have bled, and also bruised..(another sign of damaged follicles) and for each tiny drop of blood, I am thankful for the hair that WON"T grow back.. for the women that say there is no hair on the clit.. ABSOLUTELY correct, but there is the odd hair that springs up on the hood.. the MOST painful spot to wax, and if your esthetician isn't waxing there, she SHOULD... as they are trained to do so...
I can understand a man getting squeamish while waxing his girlfriend/wife/lover... I get squeamish myself.. but its gotta get done.. no more razor rash, stubble, or everyday maintenance... KUDOS to the OP for trying, my advice for next time is watch an esthetician do it, so you can see how to do it properly and avoid any additional mishaps. JMO | |

don't trim the hair first, this gives the wax LESS to adhere to, and you may end up having to tweeze the shortest hairs out.. and trust me, this hurts way more than the waxing...
and
the wax isn't boiling, it is just warm, if it burns at all, it is too hot, and shouldn't be spread on your yammer. | |

From what I know... you should NEVER be bruised from brazilian waxing... it means that the area was not held tight or that the person pulled up instead of straight back... which can lead to skin lifting and bleeding (bad). And to my knowledge... bruising is not a sign that the hair will not grow back. | |

Also, wherever the bleeding was, the hair hasn't grown back. It doesn't hurt anymore than when it hasn't bruised or bled. In all actuality, it hurts less. Doesn't matter if the skin is pulled tight, if it is pulled too tight, bleeding is more common than if it isn't pulled tight at all. You are right that improper stripping, can cause severe bleeding, but it isn't uncommon to bleed from the follicles. Some people are more prone to it too. | |
