"And When I Die" - Blood, Sweat & Tears "You Saved My Soul" - Burton Cummings "Tears in Heaven" - Eric Clapton (you just can not, not use it) and finally... "Memories" - Elvis Presley

I'm not scared of dying and I don't really care, if it's peace you find in dying, well let the dying time be near,...(blah blah in the middle then)......There'll one child born in this world to carry on,... to carry on.
OK WHO sings it???
Another poster listed it. "And when I die" Blood, Sweat and Tears
My picks:
Old & Wise - Alan Parsons Lust for Life - Iggy Pop The Dance - Garth Brooks Will you remember me - Sara McLachlin Instant Karma - John Lennon Mind Games - John Lennon Please remember me - Tim McGraw I've loved you more - Beatles Golden Slumbers - Beatles Amazing Grace - cree version
well, there's my funeral soundtrack....I should get working on it, something I've been meaning to do...so my friends ears don't bleed...oh, and a chance to get in the "last word"

| Morbid..but what song is a must to your good-bye Posted: 3/14/2007 8:24:31 AM | "In This Life" by Colin Raye. I think it sums up everything rather well in one verse.
Let the world stop turnin' Let the sun stop burnin' Let them tell me love's not worth going through If it all falls apart I will know deep in my heart The only dream that mattered had come true In this life, I was loved by you

| Morbid..but what song is a must to your good-bye Posted: 3/14/2007 8:46:00 AM | | I can't think about my own. But, for my grandma's funeral this past december, I played SOMEONE'S IN HEAVEN by the Reverend Horton Heat. It's a nice song about his mother being reunited with his father. That was the first thing that popped into my head on the day she passed when I heard my cousin say that grandma had been waiting thirty years to be reunited with my grandpa. | |

| Morbid..but what song is a must to your good-bye Posted: 3/14/2007 9:02:05 AM | Morbid huh? Seeing as this is a dating site my song during my memorial would be the following song. Love Song To A Stranger – Joen Baez
They brought me a beautiful basket of fruit And two fingerbowls of glass The couch is gold with floral design And the wine is Germany’s best And the wine is Germany’s best
My thoughts drift ino the frozen night, Frankfurt is covered with snow And numbly they ride on an icy wind To places they're longing to go To places they're longing to go
I remember the tall dark Irish rose Who held me in my limousine And slept with me under a burgundy quilt With sheets of silk in between Well, anyway, that's how it seemed
I thought I wanted to marry him His face was sculpted by God His words were gentle and ever so true And soft as the Irish fog And lost in the Irish fog
I remember the boy from the monastery Who wanted to be a monk But he brought flowers and wine to my room And we both got happily drunk And we both got perfectly drunk
He laughed like the chimes of a silver bell His eyes were alexandrite blue He danced the t'ai chi with the grace of a deer And I wanted to marry him too Yes I wanted to marry him too
There was that son of a dog from the Tennessee hills Kept telling me I was still young He spoke in pure southern and smoothed out the lines Round my eyes saying I was the one Forever that I'd be the one
He drank and he cussed and he wrote his own songs He was very much on the go We followed each other for over a year I couldn't have married him though So we just lived in sin on the road
There was that black eyed beauty from Boston town Two days were never too long He stood by the mirror and picked out a rose But I already wrote him a song Yes, I already wrote him a song
So here I sit with my basket of fruit And two finger bowls of glass I finished my bottle of Germany's best And concluded my thoughts on the past That love is a pain in the ass

| Morbid..but what song is a must to your good-bye Posted: 3/14/2007 10:17:28 AM | Three that popped into my head were:
Mama I'm coming home - Ozzy Fade to Black - Metallica Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
I'm sure there is a more fitting song out there.....but I'm not about to go searching for it LOL!! Maybe something a little more upbeat so people can enjoy the Irish wake that should happen when I'm gone.......
