Posted: 2/10/2009 7:31:11 AM | I dated a lovely Vietnamese woman and, can't speak for all Asian girls, but this one was very soft, very gentle and very conservative as far as sex (or maybe she just wasn't into me lol). She played a lot of games with me, but, in the same breath, could do something so sweet that I'd fall in love with her all over again...
True to form, her mind was mathematical and calculating...but she was also a very deeply spiritual person, which appealed to me.
We're still friends...she just waxed my hairy legs and arms last night...she's talking about wanting to dye my eyebrows...maybe she's trying to turn me into an Asian man lol. I think personality-wise, we get along very well...she just doesn't like the way I look-! I therefore don't think it'll work... | |

I must say that I do get a lot of guys ask me out, never asked, but probably cause they think i am authentic asian.
All the guys I have met seem to like the mix. It just goes to show, that even though you look one way, it doesn't mean that you are the person they think you are. However, thankfully for me, the guys I've met seem to like the real me.
Possibly the asian look is intriguing, and hopefully not every guy that likes asian women are looking for the shy, submissive house wife type.
I myself prefer caucasians, but guess everyone has their own tastes, so liking asian girls are fine, but if you are looking for an "authentic" asian be careful......cause we are not all like that.
In the end, first impressions are important, so if asians do it for you.....then go get them. But I must warn you, coming from a very chinese oriented background, there is a lot of beliefs and things to follow. | |

it really has nothing to do with race, and much more to do with culture, upbringing,values, and morals, even religion plays a central role.
western men should consider that there are many very different asian cultures, for example, Japanese women come from a 1st world environment, Filipinos come from the 3rd world
these cultures are ancient and very well established,what seems to many western men as submissive is actually respect for men,this has nothing to do with the woman's hopes,creativity ambition, or mind, its just the way they are raised
asian women, are romantic, eager to please, much less inhibited and eager to please....
this does not meen they are passive little sex nymphs, the opposite is true, they are very ambitious very pragmatic ,and have a solid work ethic, they also do not tolerate dis respect, and are very sensitive, its a two way srteet ,men have well defined roles as do women
they are very powerful, and use there femininity to thee advantage, the theory being, if they please here men, there men will please them,they are very family oriented , and will give 100% to make a marriage work, the relationship is modeled to reflect harmony between men and women,its based on give and take, and they are no less equal then there western sisters
the pragmatism comes with the children,they are motivated to provide the very best conditions for there childrens success , this is one of the reasons they take older men more seriously than western women,as a result there are fewer divorces, it is important to note, a man has equal duties in a relationship | |

American culture, the more American they become (men and women). Also, asians that live in communities that have mostly non-asian often get assimilated into the American culture much quicker.
So, while there is a cultural history (especially if we are from the same country), I find the OP comment to be too vague. Is he looking for a multigeneration, 2nd generation, 2.5 (an asian that came here in HS or college) or a new immigrant?
We may have the same appearance, but out minds are very much different, the longer we are in the N. American culture. | |

Dated a Vietnamese woman. While I enjoyed her intellect and sense of humor, there was a passion and a physicality missing. Think of a delicate China doll, very fine, very silky, deeply entrenched in a comfort zone. She was a wonderfully sensitive, intelligent person, though, and I'll always treasure our time together.

I do find asian women very attractive and not just physically the women that i interacted with were very polite,strong and had a sense of principles about them.They weren't concerned about the materialistic things as much as they were with having a strong supportive partner who would be there for them and could make them happy.I really admire those ideals and morals in such an immoral time that we are living in where everything is give me and show me and more they were about having less quantity as long as it meant quality.That is really hard to find now and days and not to mention their beautiful eyes,hair,skin and fashion sense.Thats a nice package but i again state this is my experience and opinion the aforementioned things can and do apply to all ethnicities afterall beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is beauty in every race. | |
