| Things You've Learned and Advice You'd Pass On Now That You're Over 40 Posted: 3/7/2006 11:22:38 AM | I've learned...that life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
I've learned...that we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I've learned...that money doesn't buy class.
I've learned...that it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I've learned...that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I've learned...that the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?
I've learned...that to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I 've learned...that the less time I have to work, the more things I get done.
I've learned...that nothing you could ever give someone is better
than a great conversation(probably involving quite a few "Wow, it's late"s, and ending at dawn).

| Things You've Learned and Advice You'd Pass On Now That You're Over 40 Posted: 3/11/2006 9:58:57 AM | I learned that some women lie about who they really are...BUT this turned out good! I think..well so far anyway. See, she wrote to me on one of those pay dating sites. Told me she was a pole climber. I asked what that was. She said she worked for the cable company. Fast forward after several long chats getting to know each other. She said it was time to confess. Said she is afraid to tell men what she really does. OK, fine, I can understand that. Turns out she is a Captain for a major airline, piloting a 777 jumbo jet! Now how cool is that! Now...let's see if this holds up to be real. lol | |

| Things You've Learned and Advice You'd Pass On Now That You're Over 40 Posted: 3/24/2006 6:22:51 AM | | I've just learned that the old saying, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks.' is false. We just got a rescue dog (Boston Terrier) and he's been learning some new tricks. What a sweet little guy. I'm going to try to put a picture of him on my profile later. | |

Well now I have to report that my pole climber turned airline pilot turned out to be NOT REAL. I had my suspicions when I saw her come on MSN messenger only to be greeted by a Lt. Tim Taylor, supposedly her first officer. Now why was he in her hotel room in Rome? Then after telling me the Captain was out, engaged me in a chat that lasted 2 hours! Boy did he ever build the Captain up to me and go on and on about how great she is. Why you'd think he was in love with her! lol When I asked him if he was in fact the Captain playing the part of her first officer, he, of course said no. But my next chat with the Captain, she was very upset, mad, hurt, and not trusting me because to her, it was an insult to her that I would think she could do such a thing! Said she read the whole chat between me and her first officer! lol This was entertaining but sad that I now knew she was not real. But it got a whole lot better before I ended this sick game of hers...(or it), if it was a "her" to begin with! So yes, I even played along for awhile wondering where this game was supposed to go. Next was one of her flight attendants that messaged me to say that she had been ordered NOT to talk to me because I hurt the Captain. She wanted to know what I did to hurt her! S-U-R-E, this would really happen! That lasted over an hour and she said she was on my side and wanted to help me keep the Captain happy and interested in me! Yes, I admit, I played along like I believed her. Like I said, it was funny and fun just to see where this person intended on taking this joke. But when I confronted her with that fact that the FAA did not show her name as being a licensed pilot for flight in both the USA and Europe. Now why do you think my messenger stopped working as soon as I presented that fact? Have not heard from her since..... Oh well, it was fun...sort of. Whoever, or whatever it was, they knew the airline industry regulations, time to fly Honolulu to Rome, number in crew, capacity of different jets, etc. So I Suspect "it" works in the airline industry. Maybe a lonely flight attendant that needs to get a life! lol Some people!
