Higher Grounds on Kensington road is an option but unsure of the seating arrangement. Alternate venue is the tea shop that just opened on 16th and Centre intersection (across from the Brick).
Any takers? | |

Well, since MOST things happen in the south, let's go NORTH
There is a good size one at McNight and 11th St. N.E
A brand new one three blocks north of Beddington Trail on the road leading to Coventry (formerly Center St, but has new name now), (and there is the new T&T there, so we can go and shop for chinese if we get hungry)!!
Either of those would be good for me, gets 1/2 way to my kids place for a birthday party!

| Calgary coffee nights? Posted: 1/5/2007 12:58:07 PM | | People, people, people ... this is not about Timmies ... it's about somewhere nice ... it's about a evening coffee get-to-gether - at a nice coffee house - a place where at least they have some interesting music in the air --- even Good Earth near 17th is great ... pulling my hair out while I wait in line for a cup of java at Timmies is not my idea of fun! | |
|
| Calgary coffee nights? Posted: 1/5/2007 1:03:53 PM | as nice as timmys can be on a cold day sometimes Nothing beats a nice quiet diner, good company, hot food and a good cup of old school coffee. just a thought. -Brad | |

| Calgary coffee nights? Posted: 1/5/2007 6:24:49 PM | Where ever we go, let's not do the Good Earth in Glenmore Landing. Went in there about 9ish on a Friday night and I swear I was the oldest person in the place. I thought I hit my head and landed on an episode of the OC. Rich kids all wearing designer duds eating mac and cheese .. too weird for words...
I like the Good Earth off 17th though.. Most coffee/tea shops are pretty tiny though, even a big Starbucks has like 3 tables. What about Kaffa in Marda loop?
Course I LOVE the idea of Canmore.. coffee, hot tub what more can a girl ask for?

| Calgary coffee nights? Posted: 1/5/2007 6:33:45 PM | To me Tim's is not a hang out for coffee with friends kind of place. I love my Uncle Tim, but "to-go" is pretty much what its good for lol.
After 6 pages and my failed first attempt to organize it, someone just needs to pick .. if people want to go they go, if they don't they dont.
I am, however ... reaaaally craving a Dolce Latta right now!
|
| Calgary coffee nights? Posted: 1/5/2007 6:34:27 PM | Timmy's at McKnight & 11th would be ok for a Saturday afternoon. Although lining up for what they call coffee...why?
There is a new Good Earth in Bridgeland. Fair size, should be able to accomodate us, depending on how many actually choose to show up.
Saturday afternoon? Sunday afternoon? Weeknight? Makes no never mind. I'm bringing my cards and crib board, just in case.
