She played my wife in the show, and so we were told to hang out together, so that on stage it looks like we were really made for each other. But when the show was over, so was our friendship. | |

I was out in the faaaaar reaches of camp teaching my kids to sail and cook out in the great outdoors and he was slaving in the industrial kitchen cooking meals for 200 twice a day. I almost never saw him because I never wanted to subject my children to a 2.5 mile round trip hike to get one lukewarm meal when they could easily do it themselves out in our unit and have a better outcome. I would say it lasted four months. He would say it lasted a year and a month. It ended because he just wasn't where I was in terms of dating outlooks. | |

long story but an interesting one...well to me anyway!!
I was at a local bar with some girlfriends...they wanted to keep partying but i wanted to go home as i was buggered so i went outside to call a mate who had previously agreed to come pick me up....but i accidentally dialled the wrong number and got some half asleep guy.....i hung up and dialled my friend...and got my lift home...
anyway the next day, i get this text message asking who i am....it was from the guy i accidentally woke the night before....
we started chatting via text and then spoke on the phone a few times....after a while we were interested to see what the other looked like so he told me about this dating site he was on and that he had a few pics on there that i could look up...(the site happened to be this one!!)
so anyway, i joined up so i could look at him...somehow i accidentally clicked on the profile before his and saw this gorgeous guy who i just had to message....
the guy i had been chatting to was not really my type ( i looked at his profile too!!)....
the gorgeous guy messaged back and we met up....we were together for almost two years...
so by accidentally calling someone, i met the person whos profile was next after that persons on plenty of fish!!
gawd i hope this makes sense lol

In fact my last 3 g/f's i met from that very same bbs. 2 of those 3 are best best loves too, one of which i was with for about a year and half. | |

When the marriage imploded afew years ago, I experienced a flurry of "dating". After a lot of years off the circuit I was surprised that there was a # of single women out there, & more surprised that they found me attractive&wanted to spend time with me. I took a long, self-imposed break, then in Fall of 06 I ran into a friend of mine in the grocery store. She was with a friend of hers, & introduced us, & several hours later my friend called me & said her friend wanted to contact me&could she give her my # and/or email address? We went out for several months, &it was good,then she moved away.Too far away for me, at this point in my life. Relocating is actually an attractive possibility to me down the road,& very possible if I don't find a compelling reason to stay here, but - not until I see this thing through with my youngest son . I then almost immediately startedseeing someone I'd known for about 15 years. Her marriage had recently ended, & we did the flirting at the office party thing. That lasted for about 4 months, then I abruptly ended , but cleanly, ended it. A combination of her wanting much more much faster than I likely ever would have wanted to go with her &, just something wasn't feeling right for me. Been on my own since April, which isn't the way I want it, but....its the way it is.
A point I want to make here is that I've been on this site for a year&ahalf, & I was on another site for 6 months(this one is better. & its free!). I've met a # of women from both sites, but my only 2 post-marriage relationships were with women I met the old-fashioned way.

I have used internet, while living in a very small city and restricting replies, for a very long time, with NO success for finding a new FRIEND !
I'm ready to give-up wasting my time, online - I'll try the old fashion ways!
