Woman usually seem to run or assume im taken due to the fact I have a daughter.

I realize it would be hectic schedules but both having children, we would both understand the compromise required because of the demands of children. There are pros and cons to everything, but to me... it's called a something in common.
It boils down to.. if you want and desire for it to work, you make it work.

yup...I am old all right...I am so old they called last week to have "Antiques, Not For Sale" stamped on my nutz
I really wasn't implying me but I did notice from other posts in the single parents forum that there seem to be a fair share of single father's here in BC.
My oldest son is 14. The same exact age I was when my parents split up. My father took custody of 5 kids in 1974 when single fathers were non-existant. I would hope my son will grow up carry the same strong set of family values I learned from my parents.

Then again, half the reason I am here is that I do not want my searching for someone taking time away from my children, BUT the other reason is that I have trouble reading signals, always have. So maybe the signs were there and I just didn't pick up on them. Don't know, but my kids come before dating always. Anyone who meets them understands why. | |

I don't know about sexy but I find them more attractive. Actually, most of the men I've dated were single dads. They had their kids. Maybe that's a result from being raised by my dad, from the age of 8. Then again, I don't think it's that, because, my brothers and male cousins use to "borrow" the babies in the family to pick up woman at the mall.

I personally like someone with kids because they understand alot better about the joys of having a child and the responibility of one. I have met a few women that were cool with the single dad thing but never said that it was sexy. To me it really doesn't matter as long as the person is good to my kids...thats all that matters to me | |

She and I split up just after mey son was born so my kids have pretty much always known this arrangement (we never lived together anyway long story email if you want all of it lol). I am really shy anyway when it comes to asking women out so its tough to say if haveing kids scares women off or not. I was in one 5 year relationship a few yeras back but she had a son as well so she was a single parent anyway. i did have one girl who I was madly in love with and who definatley cared about me alot say she could never be with me because she was afraid she wold get too attached to my kids and she had plans to travel when she finished university. | |
